We choose to live out of town, so that means driving every where for us. When we were in Melbourne, we were walking distance to the childcare centre/Kinder. It was nice then, I would grab the trike & helmet and wheel that across for the pick ups on days I had that extra time.
We are contemplating a move. Part of me would really like to move to the town where the primary school is, as I think it would be great to have the girls walking to and from school. Whilst I would still work the same hours, at least if there was an issue, they could walk home with some of the other kids and be at their house till I got there. It is a small community, so there is a lot of helping out before and after school among the parents
