i'm making an 8 hour lamb dish for a friend on saturday - it's a recipe from a little booklet that came with delicious magazine a while ago. it has middle eastern flavours - chermoula, honey & saffron. the suggestion is to serve it with a butter bean hummus, which i'm planning to do but i'm wondering whether or not to serve some vegetables or salad?
i was thinking of serving it with some sort of bread - flat bread probably. would you just make some sort of green salad? decisions!
Have you ever tried afghan bread. It would be awsome with that because it soaks juices really well.
Maybe a cous-cous and roast vege salad with some green beans and chickpeas in it?
Oooh tabouli (sp?) sounds good. I was going to suggest some couscous with some yummy vegetables. I often throw some mushrooms, capsicum, zuchini and red onion into a fry pan, then toss in some snow peas at the last minute then serve with couscous and lamb.
