cord blood flow at high end of normal

Has anyone experienced cord blood flow that was considered at the high end of normal at a 32 week scan?

I have to go back for another scan in two weeks to check if it is still the case but the OB didn't want to discuss it in detail until a second scan is done as he said things may be OK. I've spoken with a retired midwife who said that it's generally not a big issue, just that bubs will be getting too many red blood cells, and it would prepare the medical team to treat him when he's born. I've tried googling it and haven't come up with anything.

OMG, I had my 32 week scan today and I was told this exact same thing!!!!!

I have tried to find something about it as my OB wasnt in her office when I called in after the scan and I had to speak to her over the phone and she didnt really elaborate and said that we would have to keep a close eye on the baby and if the movements slowed significantly or stopped, I must call her urgently.

You have given me more information in your post than I have been able to find all afternoon.

My next scan is at 34 weeks, so I suppose we will have to wait.

    Talk about stress!

I see my OB on MOnday for my next appointment and will be asking questions then......believe me......

    Good luck to you aswell!!!!

My next scan showed that things were back in the normal range and my doc doesn't want to see me til my normal appointment next week so it's all looking good. Hope you have the same luck with your next scan Fiona. He did tell me that if it was still high it would either mean further monitoring or induction, but seeing that it was normal I presume I don't have to face either. Will find out for sure Thursday.
