Cass, with your iron try and make sure you are having something with vit C with your meat - red meat is obviously the best source but so are things like wholemeal bread and sardines... also I snack on dried apricots and almonds and they are both quite good for iron as well as calcium. Maybe drink a glass of OJ or blackcurrant juice with your meal as that will help iron absorbtion. Also make sure you are not drinking too much coffee or tea as caffeine will prevent you absorbing as much iron as you could.
If I can help any more with the iron thing let me know, I was anaemic before I cut out red meat and so in order to convince my mother that I was healthy I really had to educate myself and eat well! (And now she's finally satisfied... 12 years later, lol!)
