my sister was diagnosed with gallstones 2 weeks after giving birth. She had been vomiting for weeks, and just horribly uncomfortable at night - which had been put down to bubs position. She had them removed, and was told by the nurses that she couldn't breastfeed because of the medication. The midwife came along and said what a load of hogwash - she had been on endone and panadeine forte post c-section, so baby had already had some exposure to narcotics with no ill effects.
Thanks ladies,
so far I have been able to control the gall stones with diet. At least i am lucky in that i am aware of the triggers and can avoid those foods so hopefully won't have to worry about surgery for some time. Touch wood. It would be nice to have some nice crispy bacon and eggs though mmmmm.
