i'm in a similar situation to you Tenar

had first GTT at 16weeks, will have another at 26 weeks, and if that one is normal, if anything else shows abnormally, will have a third at around 34 weeks (earlier if needed) - wehn you pee test each appointment, they can see signs of sugars in the pee, so if that showed up, you'd be sent for another one kwim?

    Hi Girls,

on my second pregnancy I KNEW I had Gestational Diabetes by week 7. (Felt like I had at week 30 in preg 1)

I had it during my first pregnancy so I recognised it in my second.
The reason for it being apparent second time around so early turned out to be twins.

It can set in at any time during the pregnancy however it is most common to test mid-way.

If you feel "sugary" there was no other way for me to describe that (like you ate a whole sickly cake) or excessively tired (hard to tell) or need to drink more/wee more (how do you know) then get it checked.

It cant hurt to have a 2 hr GTT.
I think the best advice would be to eat well, low GI where you can for you and the babys sake, do your normal mild excersise and let your GP know if you feel different!

    Goodluck!!
