Hypothyroidism & Baby's Birth Weight?

Just wondered if anyone with hypothyroidism had an issue with baby's growth in utero & had a small baby as a result? I've just been told an underactive thyroid can restrict bub's growth & wondered if anyone here had encountered this issue?

I have hypothyroidism which arose a few months after the birth of my DS. With this pregnancy my ob is monitoring my thyroid hormone levels closely as low levels apparently effect the baby's mental development. He didn't say much about whether it had other effects on the baby.

The only issue my Endo told me was that there is a chance of m/c and problems with brain development. Weight issues have never been mentioned

I have an endo appointment next week so I am going to add it to the list of questions to ask
