Rubella immunity?

Hi Adele
I am a primary school teacher and there were chn at school with the chicken pox while i was in the early stages of preg. I had my blood tests and they discovered that i had no immunity to rubella and it was noted that i required the shots once i'd had bub. I had chicken pox when i was younger so i wasn't too stressed out about getting it again...but i know how u must be feeling. U'll prob be fine

That's really reassuring!

We got the word today that it is impetigo after all which is not the most fun bacteria to try to erradicate but it's a lot better than chickenpox or measles

I'll be making an appointment with the midwife for about 1½-2 weeks time so I'll make sure I have some tests while I'm there.

I am in the same situation..... I work in a preschool and there was an outbreak of the chickenpox.... I had the vaccination about 5 years ago as I have never had it - My obs took a blood test and it turns out that I am still not immune to chicken pox and now I have to have a month off work....

My Obs did say though, that it is highly unlikely to pick up rubella (as the vaccination is very effective and the majority of the population has had it) - unlike the chicken pox where the vaccination is not as effective and alot of children have not been immunised...
