blistering almost bleeding rash and diarrhea help!

I'm so to say that I did this to my DD when she was a baby I was so horrified and cried like you wouldn't believe. I didn't realise she had pooed (well squirted) and was so busy (no excuse but that's what happens when you try to be superwoman) I didn't change her as soon as usual. By the time I found it she was just a mess. I took her to my GP and he presribed some cream for it, I can't remember what it was though now. He said that and good old zinc based cream (even the cheapest one from the supermarket baby section) and air time. It worked. But something this bad is going to take time, there's no miracle cure.

Celsie, sorry just re-read my post and it sounded a lil....witchy! didnt mean it to come out like that, all i was trying to say is that my DD can go from the best looking nappy rash free bum to red raw with one runny poo no matter how quickly i change it.

LOL - Not "witchy" at all. I've just never had this happen in all the years I've taken care of children, so I'm shocked that it can go that bad that quickly.

The centre said she had 2 poos - soft but not diarrhea and was starting to look red - they applied pawpaw ointment.

It is still continueing - we have 8 nappies yesterday - and already 3 this morning. Except now there is blood in them too.

so we are off to the doc this morning.

i am wondering if it is colitis..... see here "

Celsie I'd never had it before either. Ashton is my 3rd and it's the first time that it happened to him and he's 11 months old now. But he hadn't had diahrea before either.
