Has anyone been to one? What usually happens at the first appointment or is it different depending on what it's for?

We have to travel to see one, hopefully in the next week or so, and just wondering if we should pack more in case we are expected to stay a few days. I think I have most of the paperwork in order to take with us

Anything else I might need to take?
