It could be a version of thrush... DD has really bad nappy rash at the moment and it is not typical thrush - well that is what the nurse said anyway. It is red and has blisters but I didn't notice the blisters because it just looked red if that makes sense. I don't know if DD was itchy because she is 4.5months old so can't tell me.
Normal nappy rash creams were not doing anything for it but I have used an antifungal cream on it last night and the reddness has gone down a lot and the blisters are smaller.
It sounds like it could be a fungal infection, Dp had it really bad when i met him and he got some stuff for it and it cleared up and hasnt seen it since. Otherwise if that doesnt work should go see your doctor.
Firstly, don't be embarrassed. All women have a vagina, and many women will have suffered from itching problems. If more women were willing to ask questions, as you have done, then maybe less women would suffer in silence.
As a first attempt I would try a thrush treatment. If you find an antifungal cream does not help then you need to see a GP as there are many problems that could cause these types of symptoms. You may need a special cream or an antibiotic. Get your partner to wear a condom if you are having sex incase it will pass to him (as many problems, including thrush, can be sexually transmitted).

You could try caneston cream, just buy from the chemist and see if that helps.
sometimes partners can have thrush too but not really show symptoms then when you have sex keep passing it back so watch for that too.
