Thinking of you - I was at the docs last week as I found a lump and when they doc checked she found 2! But she said they were cysts and could tell by how they felt. I really hope this is the same for you - it's so scary!
Amy, try not to fret too much, it's fantastic that you are getting it checked out so promptly but it's also helpful the remember that the vast majority of lumpy bits turn out to be benign, especially in young women. Pain is not usually an indicator of breast cancer. You have statistics on your side. I know, it doesn't make it any less scary, but there is a good chance the scans will rule out any problems.
I'm hoping for cysts or something like that.
Hope all is well tomorrow Amy
Thanks Marydean, I keep telling myself that but unfortunately this isnt always the case. My grandmother died at 52 years old and the only way she found out she had breast cancer was because she has a very painful ache in her breast and went to the doctors, 3 days later they did a double mastecotomy and told her to get her affairs in order as she had 6 weeks to live....she died that night.
Im not saying this is going to happen to me, and I truely believe that it will be 3 cycts but I always believe that everyone is different and reacts differently. PLus the fact that I had canerous cells on my cervix at 19 is a bit scary.
Thank you for all your lovely messages and support xxx

Hi beautiful girl, yep as the others have said, you need to get it checked out. It may be nothing but better know nowFor what it's worth my friend had little lumps often they were more under her arm side of the breast and were from her lymph nodes or something, they would come and go and be a bit painful.
oh that is great news, i just found this thread and freaked out for you till i seen the good news part. sorry for jumping in here when i dont know you, im a bit of a long time reader, rarely writer. but that is great news
Fantastic news![]()
Yes, and wirth a very strong maternal history of BC I had mine checked straight away. I was 15 years at the time, so mummy came with me
It turned out to be a cyst that required draining before infection occured.
All the best
