    2 panadeine tabs every 6 hours. the codeine in it is a great cough suppressant. won't affect breast feeding.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Might have a honey and lemon tea before bed and take a couple of panaedine. I'm so tired i'm hoping i'll just crash when my head hits the pillow...fingers crossed.

    when i had WC i was pregnant so alot of the meds i couldnt take.. (plus they dont work with WC anyway) but i drank tea with honey (which soothed really well) and sometimes with lemon too..
    i know how frustrating it can be..

    This could be a long shot, but when I had a similar experience right before my wedding/honeymoon, I saw a dr about it, and they gave me a very mild asthma pump thing just to get me through for a week until it healed, and it worked great. I'm not sure if you can use it while BFing, or if dr's should even do it (he acted like he was doing something 'not quite right'), but it might be worth a try if all else fails!!
