Question Inflamed Liver has anyone had this ???

    Hi all,

After weeks of feeling severe nausea (never hungry), imbalanced, dizzy (yep have fallen into the occasion wall, lol), blurred vision and trouble hearing (i pray no one ' rings ' me) yesterday i received my blood & urine tests which came back with great results for all tests so no blood clots, fantastic cholesterol level (in fact GP said is better than hers and she's thin & fit so that was a huge compliment), etc, etc ... BUT the tests discovered i have an inflamed liver which concerns me greatly after only having my gallbladder removed this year meaning i have been worry about my liver having to work harder with no gallbladder ... now i hear this news of my liver

So i was sent off for more tests yesterday and hopefully the Docs will be able to get to the core of why my liver is inflamed, apparently there can be many, many reasons why.

Fingers crossed it's not bad news as i find out next week ... yeh another week of feeling sick and anxious again

I have started meds today to try help some but sadly there are heaps of side effects.

With endless health issues since last year and so many dying around me i struggle to keep emotionally afloat most days as it gets me down.

So my question is has anyone here had an inflamed liver ??? ... Please NO bad news stories (don't need to feel worse than i am, couldn't handle any negative news right now ... no offense to anyone, hope you all understand) !!

TIA for any positive news thrown my way as i so need 'em

Smiles, I'm so sorry to hear about this latest setback. The good news is that the liver is a pretty amazing organ with regards to regenerating etc - so once they work out what's going on and get the treatment happening you will feel much better.

I've had problems with an inflamed liver in the past. An ultrasound also revealed fatty deposits, so it really wasn't functioning well at all. I wasn't given any medication - just told to go away and radically reduce the fat in my diet... things very, very slowly returned to normal.

That said, for quite a long time I'd had dodgy LFT results. There was always certain liver enzymes that were elevated. Not enough to be dangerous, but enough to make the doctors want to keep monitoring me. It did become a concern as I eventually had to start taking arthritis medications that quite commonly cause liver issues as a side effect... Over time, my liver still continued to get better, and I eventually had my first completely normal LFT result after being on this medication for around two years.

The liver recovers and regenerates, don't stress too much, but just take it easy and watch what you are eating and drinking and see how things go.
