Smiles, I'm so sorry to hear about this latest setback. The good news is that the liver is a pretty amazing organ with regards to regenerating etc - so once they work out what's going on and get the treatment happening you will feel much better.
Oh smile, big huge hugs for you hunni! My dad had an inflamed liver a few years ago his caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and he was given meds and told to drink plenty of water (just water) and he got better quite quickly they monitered him regularly and now hes completely fine with a few lifestyle changes
I hope it is something simple for you and you are quickly on the path to recovery, with Lloyd no longer working im free all day if you dont feel up to doing anything you need to i can always lend a hand, in fact id be glad to get out of this house!!
I've had problems with an inflamed liver in the past. An ultrasound also revealed fatty deposits, so it really wasn't functioning well at all. I wasn't given any medication - just told to go away and radically reduce the fat in my diet... things very, very slowly returned to normal.
That said, for quite a long time I'd had dodgy LFT results. There was always certain liver enzymes that were elevated. Not enough to be dangerous, but enough to make the doctors want to keep monitoring me. It did become a concern as I eventually had to start taking arthritis medications that quite commonly cause liver issues as a side effect... Over time, my liver still continued to get better, and I eventually had my first completely normal LFT result after being on this medication for around two years.
The liver recovers and regenerates, don't stress too much, but just take it easy and watch what you are eating and drinking and see how things go.
aww thank you all ... i feel tad better now, ... would be surprised if it's unhealthy eating as i do eat somewhat healthy, never fried or fatty foods ... chocolate rarely (i'm over weight but not obese IYKWIM) ... but then i did have gallstones after all, so who knows
thanks Feeb yep i gotta do that more ... water is something i struggle to drink and know i should do (Ballarat water makes me feel ill, i can even taste it if i filter it and i have yet to find bottled water that i like the taste of) ... i've just gotta drink it no matter what !!
LOL Kass did that last night and as always everything tells you the worst like Liver disease, etc ... Ads laughed at me but at the same time he freaked out at some of the info. BUT at the same token some websites did mention just what my GP warned me of, so that was good i guess to confirm that info.
Nikkie gorgeous offer but these days i struggle to hear someone talking to me, it's from being imbalanced (hope the meds help with that ) ... will catch up for sure one day
MD thanks for that, yeh Doc said same thing which some level is comforting !!
BW i appreciate such great info there, that helps as the GP did say it takes some time to heal on own xoxox
