We have asked for the hospital dietician to visit, and for me to be there when they do (we have mum at ours for dinner at least once a week so it's important for us to cater to her needs too).
I believe it is an acute situation. She has already told us to remove alcohol from the house. Not that she drinks often or needs it removed (she rarely drinks anyway) but doesn't want the temptation there. Has asked us to go through her freezer as well.
She is on a myriad of supplements and medications as she is an unwell lady as it is, so I want to make sure we so all we can to ease her I to this and keep her on the right path. Unfortunately the hospital are not giving her much information re ok and not ok foods and things. I want to have as much in black and white for her as possible (as some may have re ad in the past, we have mum at our place once a week minimum to make sure she has one decent meal a week. Her earning habits aren't great so we need to be as supportive as possibly to help her out)
I am avoiding dr google until we can speak to the dietician as I don't want to go in to the hospital and say I've read x as the have them say that x is wrong for mum we should be doing y...
