    Default this is amazing

I have just read thru these posts. I just cant believe it,,, to say ironic would be an understatement. Wow! I have had so many of the symptoms that so many of you have described. I actually found the site because i was curious about getting a reversal as we are thinking of having another child. I had my tubal ligation done about 9 years ago, and i have had nothing but probs with my period being like a flooding every month, headaches all the time, fatigue, bloating, weight gain, but so many of these things i just put down to other things, but now im sure this is the reason, Even better reason to get the reversal done...lol.
I just read the last post about the price, so may i ask is that around the standard price that everyone has paid on this site......? would love to hear,,, im in melbourne. Im 43.
I know,,, im getting on, dont remind me...ha.

WOW, this is the first time I've read this thread. I've been experiencing just about everything you ladies have discribed for the past 5 years(when I had my ligation done). My DH and I have discussed a reversal and talked to the Dr about it but having more surgery just freaks me out. I'd think alot more seriously about it if I could be more certain of the results. Please can anyone shed more light before I venture back to the Drs.

Hey girls.....these men that say NO have just got no idea,SELFISH if you ask me. No women should have to go thru the crap each month that yous do.

I am planning on getting my tubes tied when I have this baby via c/s. I worry I will end up with these problems that are mentioned in here. I have only known one person to have their tubes tied and she has never mentioned anything..

The only other option we have is the mirena and I don't want to do that... also I am the one against my DH having a vasectomy

What else can I do, I plan on breastfeeding for as long as possible so the pill is out I hate condoms and I don't want a IUD and of course abstinence is out to

do any of you know anyone who has had their tubes tied and been fine?

I had my first ob's apopintment last week and asked about getting my tubes redone after this baby. OB said no way as I feel pg 3 times when my tubes were done and he said that Id the chances are high that I would fall pg again with them done. I have not had any pulling or pain in my 'side' since I had my clamps removed and it was been 1 1/2 years. DH is getting the snip this time round as we really think 4 children is enough
    Good luck

Hi everyone, I am new to this but have been reading all your posts regarding post tubal ligation syndrome. I too have all symptoms of this and doctors just don't seem to want to understand. I have been tested for practically everything and everything has come back normal. I was wondering does anyone know of a doctor or obstetrican that does believe syndrome that is situated in Victoria. I am interested in having mine reversed.
    Thanks everyone....

    Hi Guys

I haven't been on since March, and certainly didn't expect to see this thread had been so active!

    Well an update on me.
Since my OP a couple of my symptoms have calmed YAY! The one that sticks out is the O pain!
    Man it's been great!
I haven't had a reversal, I have been onto DH about going and seeing about one. Although atm is majorly out of our price range. Upside I am back living on the coast, so close to any specialists if in the future I do end up getting my much wanted reversal.
And the other news. We have both decided we might try to have another baby one day down the line. Who would have thought *shakes head* I was so adamant that was it! But my goodness I can't shake it. So in preperation, I have looked into IVF if we do decided yes for sure. Unless of course DH agree to the reversal., and we win lotto

I did the reversal and some of my systoms went away thank goodness. But after waiting a year and no babies we decided to go IVF which I wish now we had of done from the start(would have been much cheaper). So we did our first IVF thru Westmead IVF clinic in Sydney(heaps cheap i must say) and got twins which was just wonderful. We did lose one baby at 8wks but Im now 22wks and going strong.

    Hi ladies
I had my TL back in January 2007, and even though I know it was the best thing for me(I'm RH negative and my body tries to kill the baby while I'm pregnant!), I hate my side effects. For 2 days before AF shows up I go into cramp lockdown, the cramp starts from my shoulders and heads down to my side! I am stuck in bed for 2 days. It is shocking! It gets to the stage that nurofen doesn't even ease the pain. Is it possible that the clamps can "move"???? I swear I feel mine moving occasionally.

Hi all. I had a tubal ligation after Aston 14mths ago. Nov 06. AF returned when he was 3 mths old (much to my horror! I was expecting to get to at least 9mths, and as not having AF is a possible way to keep endo at bay for a while, i was dissappointed) When AF returned it returned with a vegence! in the past after being pregnant for 9mths, no AF for at least 9mths, when it did return it was not with all the horrible pain that I have endured for years, but relatively easy affair...which would gradually after a couple of years return to the horrid affair. so I was shocked to be in PAIN right away. and the PAIN just go worse and worse. each month. I was convinced the endo was back... the pain was so similar, but at the same time worse. if that can make sense at all!... after I ended up in hospital in october because the pain was so unbearable, being referred to a gyne, and finally having an lap in December...thinking I would have releive soon, the endo would be removed, and I would feel better. But NO... there wasn't any endo, and there is still friggin PAIN, ...

Anyway, the only conclusion I could come to was that the only thing different after this baby, to my other two was I'd had the tubal ligation done. Did some research... and there are other women out there experiencing the same thing??? but when I asked the gyne if this could be the reason for my pain... NOT LIKELY... don't get it, dont get it at all.

after that garble... sorry, but its almost a relief to get that out... I need to know has anyone here had a reversal, and had relief from the pain???
