I have not heard any reports yet of "otherwise healthy" people dying from Swine Flu. All the reports that I have heard, the patients have had underlying health issues. Apparently the mum whose unborn baby died was an indigenous woman from Palm Island, where they have little to no Health care. They have not said yet that she had underlying health issues, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did.
It is all so sadThat poor woman must be so devastated. Rest in peace little baby.
My DH had a flu a couple of weeks ago, he works in the hospital and has been in contact with patients with swine flu. They still wouldn;t test him for itHe is over it now, and it was no worse than any other flu he has had, except for he did get higher temps. He had a week off work (lucky he was sick mostly on his days off, lol), I honestly think that he did have the swine flu as one of his work mates has now been confirmed to have it...he had to be tested as he has a child with a terminal illness.
They won't test most people now, as they are saying that if you have the flu, it is probably a 99% chance it is swine flu anyway.
After DH had the flu my 14 year old and 9 year old got a mild flu , both only were sick for about 2 days. I had just a head cold for 2 days, Jack didn't get sick at all. (I chalk that up to breastfeeding him)![]()
