Dearmum I know this is abit sneeky but i went to a different doctor and said im pregnant but i dont know how far. Said nothing about the Ivf so he gave me a referral for the ultrasound. The wait was killing me 5weeks 4days I think i was and they did the T/V SCAN

Once we get the all clear from the F/S we should be pregnant in May if all goes to plan. AF is due soon im day 27 today and i usually have a 36 day cycle. So i'll see him on the 29th of April so I can be refered back to westmead and should have AF not long after again. So the timing should all be good. If my cycles don't take we won't be doing a fresh cycle we will just leave it at that. And be happy we got our Breah. I put Breah's Baptism pic's on Facebook if anyone is interested.

Well im Sh*tting myself yeterday i went back to my doc to get a different meds because they gave me strong Antibiotics at first and i was told i have a bad UTI so the whole time the other doc told me a load of BULL she told me i had a vaginal infection GRRRR so i didnt take it serious and now my infection is worse ahhhh.To top it off yesterday i over done it with cleaning and at night i had some spotting so im terrified.Im off to have another BT so i will let you all know later but im going to keep a eye on my levels for a good week because if they fall then its over.

:clap:Well ladies my BT went great my levels are at 675 and that 15days past "O" so there very high god i think i done it girls i think i have my twinnies growing:D
Im on antibiotics so hopefully that should control the UTI for now.I have been told to come in next wednesday for a BT but i will go in again Monday i think.The nurse was saying spotting is fairly common but im not to sure about that because with me it means trouble hopefully im out of danger.

Hi Kiya.....Babe i think alot of the docs are very unprofessional,i cant trust alot of them i mean look what happened to me.Speaking of docs i need to find a GOOD OB for this bub,but one that can go to a public hospital because i dont have private health.I would love to find a lady doc because they seem to understand better.

Awesome news Dearmum so so happy. I think my levels were 748 but i was 5week 5 days when i had that reading. My clinic makes you wait 2 days short of 3wks before they do the bt but i had been to my gp before then cause im a bull at a gate and cant wait for anything hehehe. DF has said he would like to have two put back but im so unsure after last time and im not even sure that they will agree on 2 this time round cause the laws changed back in october last year. I would have to state my case i guess and get my fs to approve it before he refers me back to westmead so that its in my paper work and they cant fight me on it. I think i would just say well look what happened last time i still only ended up with one and then they will say but they were only day 2 embryos. I was talking to the nurse at westmead last week and she had said cause my embryos are day 6 blastes we would be putting one back at a time cause i would end up getting twins for sure cause they are very strong bubbas. So i don't know what to do or if they will let me!! Maybe us girls should do a to do or not to do pole??? hehehe

Crap AF just raised her ugly head 28 to the day. Thats the first normal cycle ive had in years so now i might have to wait till June to start. Because i see the fs on the 29th april and i should have another af by then and then i'll have to wait for the next one:rolleyes:which would be end of may early june

My Ob said that we had to get pregnant by August this year because that is the 12 mths deadline from the reversal last year. Have you ladies done the IVF / Stim cycles road as the reversals were old? I feeleing a little pressure to preform at the moment!!lol HAve the clomid ready just need the AF!!!

dearmum, so happy for you... rest up and don't over do it... hang onto those bubbas and this uti now vag infection? the two are totally different. I would be askin exactly what the bug is that they have found and do a little research for you!

hey luv....yeah it is such a relief, but just hope she sticks to it this time.....every other time she agrees to stop and stay away, but always after a period of time comes back and it gets worse each time.....but at the moment i am so gosh darn happy that it is OVER !!!

Well i decided to have another BT today so just waiting on the results in the arvo.

Hi Mumof6....Babe dont worry its just a little extra time that you have to wait.Hehe yeh i was going to see a different doc for a scan referal then i rand the scan centres and they were booked out until early April gosh now just gota wait my turn.I should have my 7 week scan in a little over a week.Im 18dpo so havent counted how many weeks that is yet.
Yeh not much to report dont even feel pregnant but thats just me coz i dont get m/s.
Well i will pop in later.

Dearmum....Im pretty sure it works out like this!!!! the eggs were 14days old at EP then they grow them to day 6 for the freezer ones then you would count from when you had your ET till now. Add all those numbers together and you should know how many week you are. Does that all make sence:rolleyes:. So happy for you darl now take good care of mummy cause mummy is the one that has to look after the one(S)?

I just cant wait to get in and have my scan,and i just cant wait to find out what it is :p

Hi Mumof6....Your DH is funny i cant believe he wants more kids hey,my hubby is excited about my pregnancy he keeps telling me take it easy.Babe when you was on pessaries did they make you feel warm?because i dont remember feeling like this with my other kids.
Sorry but how long in the pregnancy did you lose the twin?Did you feel anything when you lost it?Yeh im kind of woried about the whole twin pregnany,because i lost Shaheed at 5 months and i was reading about with twin pregnancies your more likely to go into pre term labour scary i reckon.

Hi to all you lovely ladies sorry i havent been on the net much lately its because i have guests from Malaysia staying with us for 10nights huh i cant wait for them to leave because i miss my freedom.

sorry girls for not being on. we have had some dramas at home. DH had an accident and hit his head hard. as quick as he stood up he collapsed to the floor and he was having a seizure. he kept going in and out of consciousness even when the ambo's where here. they put him on ECG and saw that he was struggling for air and heart rate was going up and down. had to go on oxygen to regulate. he is now home, but he is resting as has swelling at back of head and thinks he may have a brain bleed. keep you all posted on what is happening...kiya

kiya, I am so sorry to hear about your dh.... just a caution.... make sure they scan his head good and proper....
dearmum, so so so so so so so happy for you... i am happy to hear your levels are so high!can't wait for your scan!
em, bummed about af.. i know what you mean about that 36 day cycle, mine is usually a 32 day cycle now and it used to be 28 on the dot before the stupid ligation

Sorry if I have missed anyone as I am in the middle of studying and I have to get back as I have to pass this time as stuffed it up the last time.

I am look at getting the reversal mid this year and letting nature take its course for about a year or two then if it does not work then I will go and get IVF.

Dearmum...Mmmm awesome levels there i must say. Best you start looking in two's hehe. I was 8 week when I found out our little one didn't make it, Its ok to ask darl I know your mind is probably going a 1000 to 1 at the moment with all the emotions.
I do remember on the morning I went in for that dreaded scan that my hands and feet were quiet swollen. I always seemed to have this full feeling in my tummy. I had no idea I had lost one. Well really I didnt loss anything cause the baby was still there till about 26wks. They said my body would reabsorb it but it didnt,after the 26wk mark they couldnt see it anymore cause BREAH was getting to big. They do say alot about going into labour early but in saying that alot go to 40wks aswell. Its only cause theres two babies in there and your body saysok Im done cause it thinks its reached that 40wk mark. Im sure you will be fine if it does turn out to be twins.

Crazymum long time no chat glad to here that another baby is still on the cards. Good luck with that test. Oneday we will chat up for that long awaited coffee.

Me.....well all I have been thinking about these days is having another baby and if its the right thing to do. I know this might sound stupid but I to still long to have twins. I felt so robbed when we lost one cause everytime I see Breah and all her milestones I keep thinking I should be seeing this twice not once. But then I come back to the real world and think can I handle having twins I still have a very young family and Breah is still a baby. Then I think well what if I dont get twins will I be disappointed once again. I know I should be greatful for what I get but I cant stop thinking this way. Then i think about the other kids and if i was to have twins would I still have enough time for each of them. I dont want anyone to go without cause Im being selfish.

Dear Mum: Great numbers if I do say!!! lol Twin prams we just bought a Kia Grand Carnival!!!hmmm yeah a bus! DH wants another before his birthday next year... NO pressure on me at the moment;)
when I had my reversal I for some reason kept thinking kept feeling twins. When I saw just our georgous one I soon got over it. But I have since been going back to my thoughts on twins agin.. :dunno: crazy hormones have a lot to answer for.

Crazymum2 : Apparently you need to concieve within 12 months of the reversal and as I have just found out it has to be a forever baby too. I thought it was just to make sure the reversal worked but my specialist ( not one who did op but his best mate who also does them ( ie my ob) said it has to be a viable pregnancy ( I hate that word!!) within 12months.) I had mine done in August last year and am now looking down the gauntlet so to speak.

AFM: Can I ask as it looks as though I will be going down the IVF road. Did you IVF ladies do IVF after the reversal because of not having a preg / forever baby in the 12mths after the reversal? Sorry I don't want to upset anyone but I would like to see if IVF would be better for me Now not in 12mths time...Thanks?

Hi Mrzbaby. thanks for your kind words. Sadly DH maybe taking a turn for the worst. He has spent all this afternoon between GP and Hospital. He was driven home from work because he was getting dizzy spells and this i what they said to look out for. Tomorrow he is getting a CT scan....as for IVF, i am going down this road, because it would pointless on me getting a TR because of both my endometroisis and so much dammage from flishie clips and endo....I am having an IVF/ICSI split because of my age. I'm not a spring chook anymore....good look with your jounrey which ever way you go....kiya

Mrzbaby... I had been trying for about 12mths after my T/R to fall pregnant with no luck. So we dicided to go down the IVF path which is what we should have done in the first place. Where in NSW are you??? Here's a good IVF site to have a look into WestMead Fertility Centre

mrzbaby, thanks so much for the kind words. I had my reversal and have been hoping and praying for 2.5 years. I have had 3 ectopic pregnancies in that time each about 6 months apart or so. The first one was removed with surgery, but my tube was not touched because it was on the outer frimbrae which meant the swimmers swam but the egg couldn't get back down. The other two have disappeared by themselves. i did start the ivf track, and even went to sydney, but unfortunately i was experiencing the ectopic when i was supposed to af to start ivf. I also have fibroid which doesn't help. Istill wanted the reversal for more than just having another baby. I had terrible periods and pains which i never experienced before the horrid ligation. I hope that one day, they become outlawed. other girls in here have fallen ok after a reversal and it really depends on the length of the tube and how much damage there is, that is why they normally do endo first to have a look. hope this helps!

Mum of Six :As for the Kia Grand Carnial well I signed the papers yesterday its a New 2007build but 2009 compliance ( if that makes sense :dunno:, so we will have it by Friday I guess. WE have a 7 seater Santa fe but when we found out about our angel bub we trialled it with a baby seat and found we couldn't fit 4 kids and a pram into it so DH is forward planning on this one..hehe.

Kiya: Oh hun you have been through so much... stay strong I am thinking of you and your DH hun ( and your children as well they would be going through so many emotions right now)

Luv children : I too think they should be band. After my ligation after my 3rd DD I had weight gain ( I lost it all with the other kids ) my period was everywhere, cramps, headaches all the time, bloating I felt horrible I interesting enough googled my symptoms ( if you have any form of anxiety don't do this it will drive you crazy !!!) and they all kept coming up from TL symptoms. I told DH when he bought up having the reversal that I had been thinking if it for a while but to have my body 'back' to too speak. I just didn't feel I was me anymore. SO Hun I completely understand how you are feeling.

Mum of six: I am going to take a look at the website now. My OB is part of Sydney IVF so I think I can get it on the mid north coast. Does it cost the same as in westmead.. I am going to look at the site. It is a lot of money as the reversal set us back $7,400 but we got a very small amount back from medicare. I would like to just go straight to IVF personally buyt you do what the doc says...

Mrzbaby....darl do what your heart tells you not what the doctors say. In my mind IVF is the safest way with higher chances and less risks. Sydney IVF is pretty expensive from what ive heard form another friend on here. Westmead is $1,450 from start to finish including all the drugs scans blood work and egg pick up and transfer. It also includes the first 2 years of embryo storage fees thats if you get any left over. I think you get about $348 back from medicare out of that when your cycle is completed. When you get your new car let me know what its like on fuel and how many Kms you get out of a tank. I'd be interested in knowing............

Hi Ladies;)....Well i have had a few dramas since my last post,i had a scare i started bleeding so i thought oh S**T now what....so i quickly went down to the hospital and had to wait B*****Y 4hrs for a doc just to be asked some Stupid questions GRRR anyway it was about 530pm when i got there so i asked for a scan i really wanted to see the sac atleast but they said the scans close at 6 so basicly i wasted my time going in really,anyway the next day i went into my FS clinic and complained about the same thing hoping they would give me a scan but the nurse said look its very normal for someone on Pessaries to have a bleed because sometimes they can burst a blood vessel :rolleyes:so i got peace of mind but dam i didnt get to see my bub hehe i was hoping i would coz i wana know if theres one or two.:p
Yesterday my levels were at 12570 and i was 22dpo or 5.2 weeks my scan is on the 3rd of April :leap:

Hi Mrzbaby....I would be going onto IVF straight away if i was you,the chances are much higher and no wasting time.I fell pregnant with the first round so im sure your chances are high also i have found alot of ladies that have had kids fall pregnant straight away with IVF because there body accepts it all.

Hi Crazymum2....Yeh i would do the same if i had time on my hands im 37 this yr and 1or2 yrs trying seems forever,but if your still fairly young why not.I guess theres pros and cons both sides.

hi i finally made it. as i said im trying to find out info on getting my tubes put back together basically and what the success rate is when they have been cut and tied and if its possible to go thru the public hospital system in qld any advice would be helpful

katt....i'm in qld also....as far as i know there is no public hospital in qld that will do a reversal....i tried to go public a few years back, but the only hospital at the time that was doing it was no longer taking any new patients....i am now going with IVF as there is a better success rate, well that is my opinion as well.....i can no longer have a TR as my tubes are ehavily damaged due to endometriosis and being butchered pretty much by the dr that did my TL....good luck on your TR journey....kiya

Hi Katt and welcome. I had the reversal in sydney but in the end went IVF much cheaper($1,450) and alot safer as Kiya said.

hi katt......i am going through Westmead down in NSW even though i live up here in Qld.....to do IVF up here in queensland it is starting price of $6,500 and that is not including your anaeathetist and hospital stay etc. these are extra and could cost up to and including $1,500 depending on where you are going etc....doing it at Westmead is cheaper even after adding airfares for both and extras.....i am doing an IVF/ICSI split doing half of the collect eggs with IVF thent he other half with ICSI (one egg, one sperm), and doing this cost a little more than IVF.....good luck on your journey.....kiya

Katt....I would be glad to answer some of your question. Here is there website to have a look at WestMead Fertility Centre
*Westmead is cheap cause they run a non profit program and they only charge the out of pocket expences.

*First you must call them and they will send you the information pack.

*There will be a list of fertility specialist that you can call to make an appointment to see in the pack. You must take any ultrasounds blood work results etc. You can normally get into see one within the month. Dr Ming Hng seems to any have a 4 weeks wait hes great.

*Once you have seen him and and got the ok from him he will then refer your file to westmead.

*So from the first time you see him to when you get your pregnancy results is around about 12weeks(well it was for me).
To speed things up its important for you and your partner to have a full blood count done and a sperm count for your partner and take all the results with you to your first appointment. I know hes not the problem but they will want it to be done.

thanks for answering my questions, doctor didn't say much she's referred me to a gyno to get his opinion which isn't til the end of next month. tho she seems to think reversal is the way to go then i told her about westmead and then changed her mind. my partner rang them yesterday and left name and address for info pack to be sent out. so i'm hoping that i have the info from them before i go and see the gyno more money that i have to pay out just for an opinion.

another q if you don't mind..............i'm classed as a high risk pregnancy does that effect the doctors opinion on doing the ivf at all?
