Storm, thanks for your support. the page has a little problem with it at the moment, but that will be fixed soon. Thankyou so much for checkin it. What did ya think?
ray, thats so truuuuuuuue- i don't know why they have it-but they definately do. Well done on the drivin, like storm says its like riding a bike, once you learn, you get it.
Hey luv Children just visited your site - excellent & very informative. I hope alot of women get to read it before their op....wish I'd known all that before. Its what makes me so worried about choosing the right dr for the reversal...I'm scared I'll get butchered. I'm seeing dr downing in melbourne at the end of Feb & then making my decision.
carma, thanks i really appreciate that-i wish i had found out before the op too. Thats why i set it up to inform us all. Keep up your hope,if you want some info, just do some research to assure you. There is plenty out there. I'll pray that the doctor you get will do the job right. Ask him plenty of questions, how he performs it, how many he has done, when was the last one he perform, what he does for follow up. Drill Him!
Lchildren - fantastic idea about that site. Had a sticky and good job mate...why wasn'[t something like that up for us when we were going through it all.
Storm - how have you been chickie? flat out. Have to catch up somehow.
BBL Vy just woke
Hey Maz, you inspired me to get a new ticker!! Yep been pretty much flat out, Zaccie has a cold :( so he is pretty much a snot bag, I think Angel is getting it, god I hope not!
Great site luvchildren, I joined the forum too!!
best of luck Carma, I hope you find the right DR soon!
hi carma... I also have a appointment with dr downing in march but i also have a appointment with dr dalton in ballarat and from what I have heard about dr dalton he is excellent and also goes through public system his secretary told me. Where abouts are you from carma?, I'm from geelong.
Storm - how is Zac coping with Angel around? Are you finding the age difference ok or would you have preferred a little longer?
maz, thanks for the support- i really appreciate it. I just hope it reaches other women before they have there op.
storm, thanks for joining-ive posted so when youve got a chance. thanks for your support!
Maz, Zac is OK, he's a bit rough, but he doesn't understand, sometimes he is very cute with her, I just can't leave her alone, we're gonna put her in the playpen/portacot thingo so she can have time lying around or in the rocker, I *think* I would have preferred a bigger gap, but down the track it will be OK, just a bit hard now sometimes.
Hi luvchildren I'm waiting for an email to activate me before I can post my story, it gonna be a long one !:)
hi everyone well i went and seen the doctor today about that clip and she said to me that it was from when i had my tubes tied. it was'nt from the reversal at all. and she said that when i fall pregnant it will not harm anything. which is good. and i said to her could i sue them and she said no i can't. and kiya how are you going? typical ipswich hospital.
Storm I know what you are going through at the moment as I had a slightly smaller age gap between Mark and Jayden being 15 months. I liked the bigger age gaps that I got with Aaron which is nearly 6 years which is a little bit too long but as I said I like it better.
Luvchildren I have also seen your website and I have joined up. I think that you are lucky your doctor admits to though things as my denies the lots and changes in your periods is due to your hormones changing all the time or it is that time in your life that your cycle changes. Load of bull if you ask me when your cycle was exactly the same for over 20 years even after having children.
I have to get going as I have to go and pick up Aaron early from daycare. I will try and get back here again soon and finish this post.
I hope that everyone is going well.
Ang
Storm, yeh it is very hard when they are little, but hang in there my first 2 were 14 months apart-and now they are 14,13 and they can be a bigger pain now sometimes then when they were little. the email should arrive soon.
crazymum2, yes exactly what i mean. after 20 years of normal periods, then having the ligation and then the problems-definately not a change, just the effects of the butchering. My doctor didn't admit to doing anything wrong-I was fighting them on it but ended up looking elsewhere for help.
maz, thankyou so much for your support-i hope our efforts reach women out in need of our valuable experience.
Dea,
Got my first appt date 3- July. WOOHOO. I so can't wait to go. When you went for your appt, how where they towards having the reversal done and what was the time from from your first appt to the op? I'm only afraid that they will try the age thing on me, but age shouldn;t have anything to do with it i think.
Cheers Kiya
oops should have been 30 July not 3 July
Kiya
luvchilredn - i just hope the site takes off and helps others.
hmmm Storm...im thinking that a 2 year age gap is better now. 18 months was hard for me. Ah I could just kiss Zac - he's goregous and i miss seieng his pic on the ticker.
Kiya - YAY on your date.
kiya that's good news yay.anyway when i went for my first appt. the doctor's like asking me my age and my husband's age and why i wanted the reversal. so i told him why. then he's like telling me about the things that can go wrong. and i'm like yeah whatever that's just a scare tactic. so after my first appt i was supposed to have my op at the end of may but because i turned up with a bad cough they would'nt do it so that's when they did on the 27th june. so after that first appt kiya it won't be long. i've just been to see the doctor about my hsg test and they no longer want to see me. everything was fine.
that was how the dr was who i went to see about getting the referral in the first place. he wasn't my regular gp, and i know for a fact my reg gp was all for me having the reversal done and tried all the hospitals he thought of at the time then we stopped because they thought i had endometriosis, which it turned out i didn't, but we let my body heal a bit before looking into the reversal again. like i said to the dr, i know all about the risks etc, but really when you think about it, being preg is a risk no matter how old you are. he didn;t have a comeback then. keep you all updated on progress. dea - glad to hear that everything is going good, and sprinkling :bluedust: your way
:grouphug: kiya
Yay for a date Kiya that's great news. my 1st appointment was the day before the op, only because we had to travel for it & I went private. So not much help to your question huh?Sorry
yippee on a clean bill of health Dea!
Maz, I miss Zaccie on my ticker too! Maybe I should get a photo of all 5 & use that instead!!
kiya, congrates on the road to a bub. i hope that everything works out for you.
maz, thanks for your support
storm, thanks too.
Hi everyone thanks for your support... Ray I'm from Melbourne & I'm seeing Dr Downing on 27th Feb. So far have had a phone consultation with Dr Cooper from Sydney, who was quite positive..Have also seen another specialist in Melb...not so good. so can hardly wait to end of Feb..Have rec'd info in the mail about Dr Downing seems experienced in this area, hopefully he really is..
Glad to hear your ok Dea....good luck.
Luv children do u know what sort of clips yur sister had to be just able to get them removed without cutting & restitching..?
carma, i'm pretty sure they were fishe clips-but i think they didn't cut and retie because it was a public hospital.
carma - i went public and had the fishe clips too but i had my tubes cut and rewsewn together. they told me its a higher success rate.
maz, love miss piggy-where did you get that? The muppets-now why don't they have a show on tv like that anymore??????? do you remember the scientist?
Hi Dea i just wanted to know how they do the die to check and see if there is anything wrong?? I had the die put thru when they were doing the op but i just want to have it checked again.
luvc - i was sick of the old tickers so I went on a hunt. the web address is in the ticker. they've got heaps of different ones.
mumof5 - I had the dye put through at op and they dont generally do it again. They will only complete surgery when the dye runs through correctly.
Well Jed and I were naughty ;) yesterday morning. NO protection and on day 9 of my cycle. I Ov on day 12 so I'll pmsl if I fall pg. Jed didn't seem atleast fazed. atleast it will be good timing with christmas holidays and all.
hi mum of five it's just like a pap smear instead they put a thin tube thingy in there and then they put the dye through. if there's any blockages the dye will get rid of them.
dea, is it painful, do you see much? does the body just absorb it afterwards?
maz, glad to hear the progress on number 4. i have been watching my levels but i am still not ovulating. having another scan this week to check the cysts.
em, hows things going? are you gonna have the dye? im gunna wait a little while and just monitor.
ray, how are you going?
kiya, how are you going?
That was my next question Dea,does it hurt or is it just uncomfy? Hey luvc, yeah i think i might have it done just to be sure and to rule that out. I think this hole tring for a baby takes over your life abit. Where as before the op you know you can get pregnant its just a matter of time. But now after both ops its a world of unknown cause you just don't know if its gunna work again. Hey Maz you are so bad  but you go girl :bluedust:. Hey Storm are you going to have anymore or are you happy with 5?
Mum of 5, it doesnt hurt, maybe just a bit uncomfy, & de grading IYKWIM. Maybe gonna try for #6, just scary after what happened when I had Angel, plus we will need a bigger car, house etc, so not too sure there!
Maz, it's not October yet!!You are norty!
Hi to everybody, I'm a bit slack lately, I know.
well luvchildren you don't see anything except for what's on the screen after they have put the dye in. yeah it is a bit uncomfy and the body absorbs it all afterwards i just had a little bleed after mine. that's it hey maz fingers crossed. hello to everyone else hope all is well.
Thanks for all the advise girls. Im going to have the Hysterosalpingogram on 2nd of March. It better not hurt
Yuo'll be fine, the trick is to relax, hahaha easier said than done!
mum of five as storm said just relax it will be fine.
dea, thanks for the info. I don't know if I'll have the dye yet. Hope you fall soon.
em, hope it goes okay for you and its not to uncomfortable.
storm, I know about the car and house situation, my teenagers are always complaining they don't have there own room! I would need a 7 bedroom house! We already have an 8 seater car
maz, hows things?
 -LUV- you will need a 9 seater car and a 8 bedroom house if everyone wants to have there own room.
He he things will be like that here too, we only have 4 bedrooms! You guys should join in on the larger families chatter!!
MAZ where are you?
hi luvchildren....doing great ,just a bit in a hurry for this appointment it's very frustrating waiting to find out if it's possible or not and cost. How are you doing? hope everything is fine with you and your family.
em, not to worry, the bigger ones are getting older and don't worry they want to leave as soon as old enough. (more room) he he
storm, yes we should ......
ray, i can hear you anxiety....... i hope and pray for you that it will be over soon.
sorry girls - my little MIss Vy had been screaming for 3 days. Im gathering it was teeth and the heat so I ended up giving her double streinght panamax last night and she finally stopped. She was so doing my head in.
gf of mine just had her 20 weke u/s - she's very upset cause she's expecting her 3rd girl. I told her i'd swap if I end up with a boy next but honestly I dont care what we end up having. After all the things we have all gone through to have these extra little buggers, who really cares.
So storm number 6...hm. PMSL
