Thanks soul- i will start a journal, and a dream journal too coz they can be soooo vivid sometimes!!!
i have seen one of my spirit guides in a dream- she was wearing a red dress and she was waiting at the top of a hill for me- i climbed the hill and she smiled and told me to look down at where i came from and everything will be ok.

When i dream i often visit the same places over and over again. Usually its a giant building and each dream opens a new section of the building, and i will find myself back in other rooms i have visited before. My favourite place is a huge hotel- there are lots of rooms and spiral stair cases and elevators. Some times i meet new people (there was a slumber party in one room- lots of young girls having fun) or i see members of my family (only ones who are alive) and i am always seeing it all through my eyes.

Does anyone ever wonder why we forget where we have been when we are reborn?? Do you guys beleive in being re born? A friend once told me she had heard of something along the lines of drinking something (while we are still spirits before re birth) which makes us forget when we are born. When i heard her describe that- i got this funny feeling like i pretended to drink it- but i didnt. Has anyone else heard of anything like that?

starbright- I vaguely recall hearing something like that, I am sure that I have dreamt a few of my past lives, I understand about the house/hotel/building thing too, these are supposed to represent our selves, with rooms being like little sections or parts of ourselves.
I feel like I live an alternate life in my dream world, people I know, that I know are from this world but are different, I could go on,and on.
I am never alone, there is always someone with me, I dont choose as yet to acknowledge and develop these things, but they are always there, they like to give me a push every now and then, but atm, i am just not ready to go there.

~StarBright~ omg I didnt see this before, but omg, what your wrote is soooooooooo similair to what my own experiences have been its not funny!!!Your experience of meeting your guide is so close to how it happend for me the first time I saw her in a trance state. That is so weird, even the building and spirirals, myn was a temple with spirals on top of the temple in India, but still its so close.

I have heard of the drinking, but its a Greek mythology. I feel we are not meant to remember all our past lives because many difficulties would arise: first, we should be burdened by past failures and that would not be good to hold onto. Also past successes would interfere with our lives now and would make us feel less a person if we are not living up to that expectations of ourselves if we are not living that way in this life kwim? Not to mention also the people we shared our lives with in the past life, we dont have to remember everything, as some of those people could and would be someone that is in your life now and they have been very mean to you in a past life and if you remembered it this time you would not mend the rift this time, oh I hpe all that sense!!!

Soul that made perfect sense- but i wish we could still remeber other aspects of it... maybe not our past lives so much- but more along the lines of being in the spirit world. IYKWIM i think that is where so many troubles lie because so few of us on earth even acknowledge that it exists.(Not us though!!!)

And i also reckon anyone who was mean to me in my past life should remember so they know not to be mean in this one. I can think of a few people who obviously still hold something against me (my sisters especially) and they arnt being any nicer to me now!!! LOLOLOLOL

Starsky- i understand, the people in my dreams are real people too- but they are not acting the same as they do in real life. I have had some funny ones regarding my Aunt... wont go in to it, but she wasnt acting her self!!!

My most memorable dream was when i was pregnant- just before i lost my first baby and it was full of symbols and things which i then looked up in dream books and i was blown away. The most significant thing i think of was another Aunty who had had trouble concieving her last child was standing before me with a Priest (one of the ones with long robes and a big hat?? Grey beard and long face) and she had a framed picture of two babies and she kept flashing them to me and then running away. She wouldnt let me see her face and she kept pointing to the preist. In this dream i travelled from the inside house i moved to when i was seven, to out side the same house and then when i went to go back in i was suddenly at our new house that i moved to when i 13. My mum and my dad played significant roles in the dream (They seperated when i was 17)my mum had a puppy on a leash with her and my dad was sitting with a giant ginger cat, and my mum took me to see some roses that she had packed up to take somewhere. There were four pots of roses (i have three siblings) and we both looked at them and watched three of the pots fall over and she looked at me and started crying and said she wants all the roses. We tried to pick them up but they kept falling. She eventually picked up the one which remained standing and said I will cherish this one forever. (me)

There is a major seperation in our family since their divorce- my mum struggled for years being un happy and unfortunately she sort of found someone who would make her happy before she had the courage to leave my dad. It was an emotional affair until she left (so she says and i beleive her) but it caused a big stir. I was 17 at the time and i (as you can imagine) new what was going on before anyone told me. I was angry at her at first because she continually said that her new man had nothing to do with her leaving dad and she lied a little bit to protect us. She moved out to a flat on her own and her new partner left his family and did the same. They lived seperatly for about a year before they moved in together- they have now been together for 9 years. Us kids were all pretty knocked by it (sis 24 living at home on a dialysis machine for her kidneys, another sis 20 living away from home 3 hrs away and my little bro was only 14) my sisters stopped all contact with her and my bro and i would spend about an hour with her on a saturday. After a little while i started making the effort to see my mum on my own. We talked alot. She explained to me a few things about her life and she apologised for lying. we had a huge break through and formed a beautiful friendship. The rest of my family did not approve and this is just one more thing for them to pick on me about. Over the years my sisters have begun to talk to her- but it is always forced and un loving. No mothers day presents, no un neccesarry contact. My little brother has been swept up in their "family life" as they are the "core" of the family (meaning there are more of them then just me and mum) and he is accepted with them- so i cant blame him for wanting to know them, he has a particular closeness with my 2nd oldest sister and he sticks with whatever she is doing) My dad turned into a drunken mess and sucked pity out of anyone who would listen.
I now dont have much to do with anyone but my mum. She still cries for her other roses and she still tries hard to pick them up- but they refuse to stand proud.

Sorry for the blab- but sometimes i feel like i need to explain everything so people understand where i am coming from (much like how i would like everyone to know the Full Story of Life and then i beleive we will be able to make better judgements.

On another topic- i had a few horses that lived behind my house that i would ride, i felt particularly close to one of them ( a black mare with a white star on her nose- i am obsessed with black animals with white bits- i now have a dog and cat the same!!!) i asked her one day to show me her spirit- and that night i dreamt about an old man and he had looong hair and a hunch and i am sure it was her spirit- even though she was female and the spirit was male- i didnt really understand how or why- i just new it was the mare. And the next time i rode her- she was marvolous!!

Some good news for me today... i got a lap top. So i will have the internet at home as of next week!! That means i will be able to pop on anytime i want and spend hours talking about magical beautiful mystical things with like minded people!!! YAY!!

    Good night xoxo

starbright - yes your most definitely an empath, don't ever do anything to block that power - my mother was an amazing psychic and she blocked it for years - it wasn't until she had a near death experience that the wall was broken down.

I've had past life experiences as well, places I've been that I know where I'm going in the older parts of town - like when I was in New Orleans, I knew my way around the French Quarter and the Garden District, it wasn't until about 6 years later that I ended up past-life regressing during a meditation and worked out why I knew my way around New Orleans. This is also why I've been drawn to burlesque as an exercise.

I'm having problems with remembering my dreams at the moment, I know I need to work on that.

    Hi everyone!!

Hello its been a while since i had time to spend in here.. i have the net at home now so i will have more "me" time to ponder about wordly matter with out having to worry if the boss is heading up the stairs!! LOLI have been trying to keep a dream journal but i am having troubles rememebring my dreams. I wake up and i feel them slipping away, i try to grasp fragments but i cant rememebr enough and when i try to write down what happened i get all confused about how i am writing it. i will keep trying and maybe try putting some of them in here and you can see what i mean. I can do it as soon as i wake up!!Speaking of dreams- it is getting late and i am ready to hit the couch ( i think i recall saying that in another post about an hour ago LOL) to watch some telly. Good night and sweet dreams!!StarBrightxoxoxox

    hi starbright,
just a suggestion but I have read quite a few dream books and it helps to keep the journal next to your bed so that as soon as you wake up you can write, dreams dont necessarily make "sense" they are jumbled so it can help to just jot down symbols, feelings, colours, images, people etc, dont try to make it make sense if you know what I mean?
It gets easier the longer you keep at it, also recording in that way can jog your memory of other images from the dream when you go back later.
hey just a thought, maybe we should start our own thread on dreams? recording them and trying to make sense of them?
also, the warmer you are the more likely you are to dream and remember those dreams, try sleeping with an extra blanket.
hope that can be of some help!
    love bec

Thanks Bec- thats a good idea about starting a dream thread.... i dont recall anything from last night, just that it took me ages to get to sleep!!!
I will definately try the extra blanket!! Thanks!! Schaz maybe you could try it too!!

What does anyone know about the effect of dream cachers..... my DH likes to use them if his dreams are getting too full on for him- he says that it makes it easier on him- he still dreams but he wakes up more refreshed. I find that when we put it over our bed that i have even more vivid dreams. what expereices have you guys had??

Dream recall is a bit like a mental muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it becomes. Without exercise it may shrink, but it is there if you decide to work it out again. So if your recall is poor, trust that it will come in time, and the trust alone will actually help. I feel the dreams you don't remember are exactly for that reason, not worth remembering, the ones you do remember are significant enough to remember because they were something more. Not every dream has a meaning or message in it. You will drive yourself bonkers trying to rationalise every dream. If spirit are going to visit you while sleeping it will happen no matter how many blankets you do or don't have on you, or how many dream catchers someone has made and you have bought , are in the room. If they are going to pay you a visit, they will regardless of all these things, and you will remember it.

As for the dreams that could be messages, your higher self with process it all and give you bits and pieces of it. That is when you write them down and try and put it all together.
Your dreams are a melting pot of creativity Being able to remember them can be extremely rewarding.Keep a notepad with you throughout the day. Often times, something you see or hear later in the day will trigger details of the dream that you couldn’t recall earlier. Record these recollections immediately and see how they fit into the rest of the dream. A dream that repeats itself is one you should give special attention to as it will often have a special meaning. If you don’t immediately begin remembering your dreams, don’t give up. It can take a while. Give yourself a couple of weeks practice and you’re sure to begin remembering more of your dreams. As you lay down to go to sleep tonight, remember that you are about to embark on a great adventure.
