    bleeding/discharge post D&C

hi all, quick questions, I'm 7days post d&C and having mucusy blood dicharge (sorry about the description) if it wasn't blood stained I'd think I was O'd (i know it couldn't be so soon) Also having brownish at times with some slight occasional cramping. Anyone similar? Someone wrote in another post that having sex stopped their cramps. My Dr told me to obstain until I stopped bleeding, and a friend was advised to "not put anything foreign in her for 6wks????"
Also, could I possibly ovulate if I'm still spotting??? I'm asking this after reading that others bleed for weeks?? Sorry about the multitude of q's hope you guys can help!

G'day, look everyone is so different...

I had a hysteroscopy/D&C in Oct06 and bled for approx 4 days or so, then lighter for another week approx, normal period came about 4wks after.

In June of this year we lost bub # 2 and needed another D & C and only had small amount of bleeding (much less than the last time)... my system still isn't right and I may need to go in for another procedure after next period (dependant on what ultrasound shows)

As far as no sex, after D & C's specialist told me to wait #1 for bleeding to stop and #2 until you are emotionally ready of course.... wasn't told anything about waiting 6wks to have sex, she did however tell me to wait for a period before 'trying' if we wanted to straight away...

Any concerns, talk to your doc... mine is fantastic and always puts my mind at ease whenever I have any concerns....

    Good luck

It's unusual but some women do O as early as 7 days after a m/c or D&C but I think it would be more likely to have happened after an earlier loss.

Thanks guys, I'm feeling so impatient and mixed up (obviously hormonal) might go see my Gp to check, though it takes forever to get an appointment, so hopefully i'd have stopped by the time my appointment comes around.
