    Hi there,

    Thanks for your comments

I have always had two embies transfered whenever two were avail. Even when in my 20's. must be just the diff clinic protocol I guess? That's 5X double transfers and 1 single transfer over the years with one baby and one early MC to show for it so I guess the chances are pretty small. Although the prospect of this last transfer being twins if successful did freak me a little as I would have had 3bubs under the age of 2!!!

Best of luck to you for this cycle ..

This isn't the right place to discuss this but...

entreat - I think you can be 100% reassured that there is NO WAY the clinic wants to only put one blast back because they stand to make more money. They want you pg - but in the safest, most appropriate way that fits your situation. The chances of successful implantation and pregnancy are not higher when you put two back.

You also said you have blasties as opposed to day 2 embies. I think it is super rare for a dr to put 2 blasties back.

They report back to a medical board on all IVF cases and although they want great results, they also want safe live births. They don't want to put you through lots of cycles to get more money.

    That's my opinion.

    Hi Sazzafraz,

A lot of people dont like the term "chemical pregnancy" they feel its too clinical. However for me - it helped to call it that - and the fact that I was actually pregnant (if only for a week) made me feel good that It could happen to me (I have never been pregnant before!) I had +ve POAS but very faint, the blood test confirmed the pregnancy was not going to be viable, I had a cry and was a bit moody for a few days but was overall feeling positive about the experience (I just hope it doesnt happen again!)

Whatever your thoughts though (whether you want to call it a chemical pregnancy or a m/c) it is whatever important for you to call it at that time and the loss is very real for you. Many men just don't get our feelings and obsessions about these things - I have heard that many dont feel a thing till the baby is out and in their arms!

I hope it turns out better for you next time.

    Hi Buggirl,

It seems we are in the same boat at the moment! I'm so sorry to hear you've had a recent loss. Hope you are ok now!
I see you also have one frost left: me too! Do you know what your plans are for that one yet? I'm still not sure when we will go forward with ours. I am kinda scared to do it in case it doesnt thaw or is a BFN and then we have to consider "what next?"

    Good luck to you!!!!!

    Hi Sazz,

Yes I guess we are in the same boat. I think I coped very well with the last loss, I guess I have had so much unpleasant news about my health in general lately that I have been trying to stay positive about everything - and it works!

I thought I would have to wait a month before I could try the last frostie I have - but the clinic said because I was on a completely natural cycle I could try straight away. I am currently having bt to detect my ovulation, and its a big pain as I have deep veins and its like getting it from a stone I always say to the nurse!

I know what your mean about decision making if it doesnt survive the thaw but I am hoping that it will, this is only my first round of IVF so we are prepared to do another one if my health is up to it. I have a good feeling about FET this time and it sure is preferable to having a full stim cycle - and not sure if it was prophetic or what but I found a kids toy just near my car at work the other day....... mmm might be grasping at straws about that one LOL!!
