Babe, tell me to shut up if you want,i hope I'm not being insensitive but just putting it out there...is it possible that maybe you m/c the first pregnancy, and concieved again without knowing? It's a bit of a long shot but maybe that's why the dates are so weird (only possibility I can think of really, seeing as you were sure?)

I just hope that scan shows a healthy, squirming little bubba for you, SO much :hug)

I should be over 8 weeks now, but my last ultrasound showed almost 2 weeks behind (which is impossible). So I got no idea how far along I'm meant to be!

    This is torture!
the whole pregnancy thing is torture i think.. it would be so much easier if we could just look inside and know what was going on.
for what its worth my DS the same one i talked about in the other post.. he measured 9 days behind in my early scan and i knew there was no way that could be right he came out the day after *my* date and looked very cooked...
Im not trying to give you false hope iykwim, just letting you know that sometimes these things seem very grim but everything is in fact ok

PZ it's a fair enough question, who knows!

Don't have to worry about giving me false hope, I think the dr is doing a good enough job on her own. I feel like she's trying to spare my feeling IYKWIM. She could be right for all I know, and we'll find out for sure next week. But it simply feels over to me, I don't feel pregnant at all

I really hope that everything turns out to be fine. Definitely try and get in for an earlier scan. That wait is way too long!

Cheezle Monster - I am so glad your HCG has improved. I hope that your bub is safe and well and you get a perfect scan result next week.

Just wanted to let you know I am going through exactly the same as you and have to wait until monday for quantatative hcg after having a scan which measured at 5.5w when I am 7.5w. This is torture. I truly understand what you are going through now and I pray that your baby has not grown wings.

    Hi Cheezel Monster

Have read through your posts....Sorry you are going through such a difficult time.

Can I offer a little bit of advice???

I think you should keep positive and, I hope you don't mind me saying, remove the miscarriage symbol from your ticker, because despite what you may fear, you havent miscarried. Having it there keeps you in a pessimistic state of mind which is not good for anyone --- especially you!

    In the meantime...

    1. Remember, fear is just a thought. It is not a reality. You have not miscarried. Your doctor has told you this.
    2. You can go into any emergency room of a public hospital and get a scan. It wont cost a thing. I really strongly advise you do this today to put your mind at ease.
    3. Every pregnancy is different. What you "feel" in one, you might not in another. Similarly, every stage is different. Hormones (which cause the "symptoms") fluctuate. When I was pregnant with my DD I didnt feel pregnant at all until the second trimester. And I bled large bright red clots for months into the pg.
    4. I can categorically state that no doctor would be telling you something false or misleading to "spare your feelings". Not only is it unethical, but it would leave them open to potential lawsuits down the track. They simply would not do it. My strong feeling is if your doctor thought you were miscarrying, she would tell you to prepare for the worst. Or, at least, to go to bed and rest, etc, etc.
    5. If you dont trust your doctor, for whatever reason - and it sounds like you dont - go to another doctor, or another three doctors, if that's what it takes!!! Again, if I were you, I would be going to the nearest public hospital emergency room. They will scan you straight away.
    6. Stay positive, get lots of rest and be kind to yourself.

I hope i havent sounded harsh. I really just want you to start looking at this as rationally as you can. From what I have read, it sounds like you are in great shape with this pregnancy! I really wish you the best of luck!!!

    Take care x

My HCG levels had a slow rise at about the same stage, 32,000 and 3 days later only 38,700, not even close to doubling and progesterone was 77 (which is good), for me it indicated the loss of a twin all of which was indicated on a number of scans done at the time, it was also accompanied by a lot of large red bleeds which lasted until 12 weeks, and I continued to have smaller bleedsall the way through to delivery when I did any walking or too much which really wasn't much at all... (it ended up being a large clot behind the placenta).

I would definitely try to get an earlier scan, Friday is a long time to wait, go to the ER and explain that you have been bleeding, they can do the scan there, and get an trans vaginal one done as it is much more conclusive than and normal one at this stage.

Big big :hugs: and thinking of you, and after the complications and iccues I had during my pregnancy I am amazed that I have a little person in the swing right now, she held on for dear life the whole time.
Take care and I am thinking of you as I know all to well what it is like to go through what you going through right now and I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy

This happened to me with my 4th m/c. I actually thought I was still experiencing m/c symptoms from an earlier loss in Dec 08, however my HCG levels were around 3,000ish which is consistent with a pg @ approx. 5 week - OBS thought this was another pg & loss given those levels - this pg/loss was in Feb 09.

I also was 'behind' my dates for my DD. I thought I was about 9 weeks, but I was dated back to 7.5 weeks - seemed I O late....

Thanks for being here for me girls.

Yesterday I kinda woke up and felt...different. I still have barely any symptoms and I still have little hope, but I don't feel so tortured by what is going on. I feel like all I have done over the last few weeks is cry and obsess over all the what ifs. I can't keep going on that way. I can't spend the next week freaking out, it's not healthy and it's not helping. So I am just not thinking about it, I feel a lot calmer and able to cope.

They want me to have the next scan when I'm over 7 weeks by their dates, because according to them I'm just behind. I'm willing to wait as at least it will be a definite answer this way. They can't say it's just too early again, if that makes sense. I'd love to have a scan right now but this way there will be no mistaking the outcome. I'm normally pretty impatient so I'm surprising myself

Still spotting every now and then but haven't had cramps for a couple of days now. Oh and my nipples have just started hurting today so I am pretty confused!
