I'm trying hard to be happy

Thank you karbear I really appreciate what you said xoxox a little validation helps.

I just watched some stupid show - and this lady un-expectingly gives birth in it - and I am sobbing like a baby I don't even know why it was a beautiful story. Just brings me to a sobbing mess...

Doesn't help that my ex is over laughing at me for crying over a show.

Ah I'm allowed to cry at a drop of a baby!

no-one can put a time limit on your grief, i doubt anyone else will truely understand it, it's personal, it's yours, and it's entirely valid.

    I'm sorry your hurting

I don't think he meant it in a bad way - It would of looked pretty comical me laughing at this show and then full on burst into tears, and he asked me what was wrong and I just said that I was sad and happy for the her *pointing* so I could see the "laughable side* I just didn't think it was comical at the time.

My DH is the same. We went to see UP when it first came out and there's that scene at the beginning that touches on the subject of IF, which caught me completely off-guard, and I was just about weeping in the cinema (and desperately trying to not make any sound). I think I cried through more than half of that darn movie while the rest of the cinema spent most of the time laughing...

If all that emotion is there, hiding behind a thin veil of "normalcy", it doesn't take much to bring it to the surface...

    Hugs to you Cat.
You don't have to be 'over it' even 30 years later my mum and I still dream of what my twin would have been like.
    Be gentle on yourself.

HUGS and Lots of HUGS for you sweetie. I feel your pain. I also lost an angel a year ago. And every time a see a baby her age today, it brings up the pain all over again. You can get through this in time. Just let time heal the wound.
