Hi everyone! Just wanted to send all of you some hugs. After reading the last few threads I think you definitely need some!

Alison, what clinic do you go to? I'm at FS of WA. I hope this FS will be right on top of it and will get you pregnant and for the full amount of time in no time!

AFM It's been 6 weeks now since my D&C and AF showed up again yesterday. What a shock after not having had my period since March. I had forgotten how painful and annoying she is... I hope she won't be visiting for long ;). I've been having acupuncture to help me back on track and know that my HSG was back to baseline at the end of June. I suppose AF would take longer to come back for whoever's HSG was really high and also my acupuncturist told me it would have gone down quicker for me as part of it goes down quicker thanks to D&C, don't know how that works exactly. Anyhow, I was feeling pretty good, till AF showed up. I actually thought I might be pregnant, ha, wishful thinking. At least hopefully another chance this month?! We'll see...

Hi me4ever - oh wow that's where I'm going now lol. I'm seeing prof hart how about you? As for me I had my first blood test today for tracking and had my amh tested again, nervous on that one as it was 1.1 8 months ago :o. Anyway I thought AF had arrived yesterday all be it light as it is red and not brown like my usual per AF spotting, only to be told by the nurse this arvo that going off my bloods I'm about day 10 and a few days off ovulating! What is going on! I'm so frustrated with my body grrr. She said your hormones can do strange things after a miscarriage....no, you dont say, 8 weeks and no AF yet! Anyway the bit that irritates me most is that I now have to wait until it really arrives before they can do their exploratory tracking cycle which means prob end August early sept before we can do anything :shakehead: so so disappointed. I just cant win lately! So have you had your Amh tested before? What are you looking at doing?

Hey Alison - I'm seeing dr Yeap, she's really nice. I had my amh tested but it's quite high, so not an issue for us. I have unexplained infertility and had moderate endometriosis, which was removed via laparoscopy last year. We had our first IVF in April and fell pregnant straight away. Now we're just going to try naturally till after our month away in September and if we're not pregnant by October, we'll have our first FET (frozen embryo transfer).
Apparently according to my acupuncturist, after having had a miscarriage, after the HSG has gone down to baseline, your body will start a cycle and you'll ovulate before you get AF. So maybe your HSG took ages before it disappeared and then hopefully you'll get your period as per normal after ovulation?! I had some light spotting (red as you said) about a week or 10 days ago...

Alison- how frustrating! I can really relate day 59 and still no af! Monday I will book an appt with a dr for dh's week off so I can get sorted out I think it will be 9 weeks since mc when I see the dr so hopefully he'll sort something out.

Afm- sorry for the lack of personals such a rough week for me. Yep day 59 still nil on af but still cramping like af will arrive and now feeling sick like I'll throw up! So annoyed! Dh keeps asking if I'm pregnant I doubt it I told him I'll test again later to recheck but now it's time to boo with the dr he has an u/s machine so I'll get him to have a peek and also run bloods before I take any medication to sort out where af is. I haven't felt nauseous for weeks so it's some new symptom.
Going to be busy the next couple of weeks finishing our house and totally re landscaping the backyard new lawn etc. should have the house on the market and sell up and build again hopefully still in the same area as I have to enroll ds1 into school and don't want him to be changing schools once making friends.

Hi Girls how are we all?

Hi Ashie - have you been to the docs yet or got AF? I'm day 65 and still nothing!!! So going off what the clinic told me last week I should be Day 17 of my cycle today and they told me on Day 10 I was only 3/4 days away from ovulating, yet I am only just today getting the ovulation signs, EWCM and pain and OMG the pain is so intense, like buckled over intense so not sure if that's just because it's been a while or something?! So I guess it means I'm still a good week or so away from AF, unless of course I have already ovulated and this is just some weird AF pain, who knows - this is just SOOOOOOO frustrating. I'm pretty much over it all now and just want to feel normal again boo hoo.

How's everyone else going?

Alison - still no AF for you... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it will come soon. I remember that I was very very bloated and had a sore abdomen a few days before AF showed up.

Thanks me4ever - I'm expecting a doozy of an AF given it's been almost 10 weeks since I've had proper bleeding. Urgh.

Alison and Ashie, just popping in to give you AF vibes - 46days later I got mine today. Actually cried in the ladies room cause soo relieved it came by itself. I have the check up post d&c tomorrow and was really worried about being told to take something to bring on AF (other than a natural option) or there were more 'issues'
Ah relief, here's hoping for you ladies.

Yay MLR1901 - I'm so happy for you, I hope Ashie and I can follow suit. Who'd have ever thought we'd be happy to see AF huh! I am like you starting to think there's something else wrong with me and having this low egg count has me freaked out I've run out lol! (even though they told me it doesn't just happen)!

Hi girls thought I'd pop in say af arrived on day 60! Yay lol!
But at the moment gastro abd flu running wild here so have my hands full (dh took a week off work redo the backyard but it's going to be hard with ill kids)

Alison I have everything crossed your af won't be far behind. Mine has been horrible! Bleeding was heavy and just so bright and cramping the first couple of days I couldn't do much, still spotting now been a week but know it will last for a while longer it has it's own plans.

I seem to have the opposite problem can anyone try and help me make sense of what is going on with my cycles?

20th of June- started spotting at 6+3 it never stopped
7th of July- natural mc at 8+6
26th of July- finally stopped bleeding
3rd of August- started bleeding again

So is this new bleed AF? I'm totally confused as the mc bleed only stopped a week ago but is it because my mc bleed lasted for so long that it is back already?

Hi Em - it's probably just your hormones still leveling out and because you bled for so long it's a new cycle? I bled for almost 10 days with a D&C, but I am 10 weeks down the track and still yet to get AF - I've only had the 2 bouts of spotting but the clinic told me with a D&C they completely clean out your uterus so it can take a while for your body to build up enough lining for a period. I'd say this bleeding now is AF again, it's roughly a month in between starting your mc bleeding and this bleeding so perhaps you ovulated as usual but still had some leftover bleeding? At least you know your cycles are trying to regulate, I'd like to know what happened to mine!!

Hi Everyone - how are we all this evening? I rang the clinic today, going by their records I'm Day 29 today and still no sign of AF so I've had enough. I'm going for a blood test tomorrow to see what is going on. Considering i have a known luteal phase defect this is ridiculous, one extreme to the other - it's now 11 weeks since my D&C and no AF!! In better news though all my other blood tests have come back normal, along with DH's and my AMH has increased! Only a little, from 1.1 last November to 2.6 this time - just goes to show it can fluctuate and they don't know as much about it as they thought. Like I said, it's still way lower than it should be but at least it's gone up a bit, I'm happy to hang onto any positive hope I can!!

What's happening with everyone else?

Hi again - update: so I had my blood test yesterday only to be told by the nurse that I should be expecting my period any day. Woke up this morning, went to the loo and guess what, AF is here!! Could not believe it ha ha. Never been so excited to see the witch..........of course I'm now sitting here in agony, painful and heavy - I guess 3 months has to make up for lost time! But, it's so good to see fresh red blood flow instead of brown old spotting blood, makes me feel new ha ha ha - how sad I have become! So, I'm Day 31 or thereabouts going off their records which is a miracle for me as I have this so called luteal phase defect, so have been busy googling about progesterone deficiencies and if your body can correct them. I would be super stoked if my body has re-set so to speak but it could just be a freaky roll on affect from the miscarriage/D&C so I will wait and see what happens this cycle.

So as of tomorrow I am officially tracking again, can't try this month though as they are a new clinic for me so want to see what's going on for themselves. But it's one step closer to trying again next month hopefully!

Hi jlk - I'm so sorry to hear of your most recent loss, I'm 3 months out from my 2nd loss this year, 4th in 12 months - apologies for my excitedness in my post above yours but it's been a rather hellish few months and am only just now feeling like I have moved on properly. I hope you can feel the same very soon but in the meantime we are here to listen and offer cyber hugs xx

Alison I am stoked that your af arrive yay! (not the whole bleeding and pain) but knowing where you are at now, it's such a relief hey! Hopefully the last of the crazy roller coaster ride our bodies go through with a m/c.

It's an emotional time I suffered my 2nd in may, still hard now two of my close friends from school are expecting same time I am so forever thinking what ifs so much, but having others to talk to helps.

Afm- not much to report I have stopped bleeding though! (big omg moment!) maybe things have changed its the first time for a long time I have a normal cycle so far. Certain I have or will ovulate shortly (last weekend cm increasing but not as crazy as last month!) dtd over the weekend then I got the flu dh got the kids bug so no more since weekend.
Dh and I keep talking we said we wanted to try for a winter baby and maybe we should. Men are weird he never gave an offical answer just jumps in bed lol!
I am not on any pill or implant as horrid side effects, so I keep dtd on safe days but dh ruins that as well he doesn't care! Ahh just once I would like him to say yep let's go for it. He did mention he was looking at the newborn photos of ds3 just minutes old and goo'ing over them, he is such a clucky man atm! My thoughts are everywhere atm, I wish things would happen smoothly for me (even dh's family has joked about me and my family's badluck run but sadly it's the truth our life is like a soapy lol)

Hi Ashie - thanks mate! And yay to no bleeding and double yay to maybe having a normal cycle, I am the same! wouldn't it be awesome if the pain and suffering we have had leads to something positive by having a normal cycle! I would be so happy if I could conceive without having to take progesterone suppositories and this pill and that pill but we shall see! Your life sounds like it mimics mine, we have had the worst year this year, my FIL has terminal cancer - was diagnosed back in February and has been having specialist treatment over in Sydney but it's just to buy him more time not cure him, I lost my beloved 16 year old pooch and I've had the 2 later 1st tri miscarriages. Seriously, you start to laugh after a while as things start to become more a joke. I have often said my life is like an episode of Days of Our Lives at the moment! If only it were more like Bold and the Beautiful full of sexy men ha ha ha ha ha. Anyway, as long as we can keep our spirits up and find the funny side in things I think we're doing ok. Just go for it I say, DH sounds like he wants to and you know men, they don't communicate like us - I'd take his reaction as the green light so go for it girl! xxxx

12dpo today and because Im a masochist, I tested. Ive been a giant pain lately and on the verge of tears every 5 minutes. It was +. So now the wait starts again. Im so pessimistic its ridiculous, just dont know how to ignore it until something happens, whether its bleeding and the end or a surprise successful scan in 3 weeks. I dont want it to consume me.

Oh Freya I know :hug: hang in there, I know it's hard and it sucks.

Hi Freya - well for fear of getting your hopes up I'm going to go out on a limb and say congratulations! I know I know it's hard to be excited, BUT and I mean BUT, there is always a chance it could work out for once hey! I'm trying to be more positive about things and let's face it, our bad luck has to end eventually. So, I'm going to put my neck out here and say that I have a good feeling about this one. ashie - yay for a normal cycle! Sounds like a great sign to me!

Alison - hey hun how are you going? How is the tracking going? Is it driving you crazy not to be trying? It would me haha! I know exactly what you mean about just now feeling you can move on properly. I have had a couple of afs, but my cycles were not normal those months, lots of spotting and irregular bleeding, and I didn't really feel myself until this current cycle which is pretty normal. I think your new dr and clinic sound great and I hope they are the solution for you, I have a feeling it is going to happen for you before too long now.

Well, I'm in the tww, and it has been the first cycle I feel normal about, so fx for me! It makes me O.O to realise I have been utd 6 times now... and it is always different, some times I get symtoms, sometimes not, this last time I was preg I even had implantation spotting which I'd never had before, and no matter what I think it is usually the opposite lol, so will just have to wait this month out and see what happens. I do long to be preg again, that's for sure.

Hi Smamfa, I have been wondering how you are going! How exciting to be in the 2WW, I will cross everything I possibly can for you sweets. Although at the moment it's not much, I played netball for the first time in 5 years Monday night and OMG I cannot move ha ha ha - soooo unfit. It's your turn now so I will send lots and lots of baby vibes your way, how exciting!

AFM - I am doing well, have been trying to lose some of the weight I've gained over the last 8 months of treatment. Put on 7 kgs, urgh - 3 down so far which is better than nothing but I still have a few to go before I will feel like my old self again. I am in my first tracking cycle, yes it is frustrating not being able to try but I want them to know what's going on and given last month I had a 31 day cycle and this month would you believe is looking like a possibility for another normal cycle it's just as well! WTF is going on! In a good way of course but how weird is this. 18 months I've had 21-23 day cycles with spotting, well I didn't get any spotting prior to my first AF (although it took 3 months to get here) and I had bloods this morning and will find out any moment when I will be ovulating but on Monday I was day 11 and she said I was a good 4 days off ovulating - I usually ovulate day 12. So she said I'm on track for an average/normal cycle - so if my luteal phase is decent again I'm going to celebrate. Is it possible a 2nd D&C/miscarriage has rejigged my hormones???? Anyway only time will tell. DH has to go back for a repeat test tomorrow, his homocysteine came back elevated which is basically Vitamin D and can lead to higher miscarriage rates, interesting!!! Maybe it's not just me after all! Anyway thank goodness if it is it's something that can be easily fixed with extra vitamins, it is odd given he's always been super good with his vitamins, actually, he's better than me at remembering!!!!!!

Smamfa- I hope your tww goes quickly. I can honestly say every pregnancy is different, my first m/c I was so sick! I usually get morning sickness but it was happening before I realized I was pregnant and just got worse. With ds1 and ds3 I got cramping alot but ds2 and the recent m/c I had hardly any!

Alison- Yay for regular cycles! I'm the same my cycle was well off but I am on cd 4! A 27 day cycle which has not happened for a long time. I thought I mc would mess things up more not sought them. Hoping my af behaves like last month. I am glad things are going better!

Afm- my cycle was 27 days yay! On cd 4 and first month of ttc again (I talked to dh about it all he just happy to dtd lol) but he did mention how the last mc upset him, he said its only sunk in that we were expecting again (was a suprise concieving) and was excited and then days later we lost him or her. so I think he may be excited about another baby (happy dance!)
So far af this month was very heavy today lighter (thank god!) heavier than my mc?!
We did say months ago we wanted to try for a winter baby? I love winter clothing for little ones!

Alison - yeah I think it can TOTALLY rejig your hormones, and I will be so stoked for you if it is giving you 'better' cycles iykwim. My first pregnancy (ds1) 'fixed up' the little issues I'd been having and my cycles were great after that. I was utd with ds2 (after an early mc first) when I was still in this 'good' window if that makes sense. I've been kicking myself cos my cycles were great again after ds2... then over time they gradually got a bit mucked up again (spotting started up again etc) and I was thinking I had missed my fertile post-birth window. It took me ages of nothing to get my first chem, but then that was quickly followed by the 2nd chem and then the month after by my last preg... so I think the chems got my body back into the zone. My cycles of course haven't been normal yet after the mc apart from this one (almost) so I don't know if it is helping this time or not. I am ovulating slightly later than I was, I had been down to day12 before, this time is day 13/14. So I completely believe it (after that long-winded explanation lol!)

Ashie - big yay for ttc and nicer cycles! I'll be sending goodluck in your direction as well :)

HCG levels at 5 weeks gestation..............................1660! I nearly cried. The GP was so happy she couldnt stop smiling! I am nearly afraid to think this might actually be happening :cry:

Afm- nothing to report suffering headaches atm (think maybe cause of af) been happening for the last few days. Dh and I have a game plan this month lol going to dtd from now til close to o and stop for a few days. Dh is certainly not complaining he is very keen pmsl!

Eta- just went to the bathroom as something wasn't right! I think I may of mc again! Looked like the last mc but smaller (as long as one of my fingers) would explain the heavy bleeding and cramping though.

Freya - wishing and hoping and praying like a mad woman that this is the one!

Smamfa - hey there cycle buddy ha ha........I can't believe how we are so similar all the time! I used to O on day 12, this month, wait for it, day 14!!! My new clinic are so much more thorough and I'm having bloods every few days to keep a check on this luteal phase but so far my progesterone is looking normal wtf!!! I am trying not to get excited though as I'm CD20, 6dpo today and I am feeling a little hungrier and slightly crampy so I will be so disappointed if AF shows early like she used to after things looking so good initially. More bloods tomorrow so I guess time will tell.

Ashie - oh no, so you think you were pregnant and you're having another miscarriage?? Or did I read that incorrectly xxxx

Alison- yep I am certain it happened again!
My bleeding was so heavy for days I kept mentioning to dh this is not right nor normal for me then I lost what I think was a sac and that was the end bleeding went to spotting and feel better not crampy etc.


Afm- I am now waiting to ovulate (cd11) the maybe baby shows cycle is on track so fingers crossed it will be only a couple of days away! So hoping my cycle is also back to 27/28 days I miss my regular cycles makes things so much easier when tracking.

oh gosh Ashie that really sucks!!! Fingers crossed things get back on track for you this month!

I had bloods again today and after good progesterone numbers Monday they told me today they're not looking so good, they've only gone up a little bit since Monday. She said it's not a terrible level but not great. I feel AF is not far away which sucks because I'm only CD20, 6DPO today so a decent luteal phase is looking unlikely. So much for my cycles getting back on track, last month must have been a fluke grrrr.

Had another bHCG on tuesday which was 15,000! Then had scan yesterday which showed a beautiful heartbeat of 100bpm! I think this is really happening :)

Freya- what fantastic numbers! And big yay for a heartbeat! I think we will be eagerly awaiting your birth announcement next year! So happy for you congratulations!

Alison- oh I hope your af could hold of for a few more days.

Afm- ovulating atm yay! So fingers crossed its a 27/28 cycle for me woohoo! I have tracked my cycle for a year I seem to know myself and know roughly when things are happening feeling quite proud of myself lol. Hoping that knowing all this info will help with ttc.

Hi Alison - yes grrr! If it helps I feel similarly, I have af now (no luck this cycle) and I could tell I was out from 10dpo where I got a faint sign of discoloured cm... really 10dpo the spotting? GRRRRRRR. Still, progesterone is a problem they can deal with right? And better they see your low progesterone in action so that they can make sure you've got it covered for a possible pregnancy cycle to come. Do you know what their plan is for next month?

ashie - Hoping as well that everything is back on track for you this month, yay for ovulating!

It's been a while, sorry, just been busy trying to keep busy, looking for work and it seems as of today - back on the roller coaster of a BFP!
Alison and Ashie, I remember you both from the TTC threads, and here we are together.
I know I feel better posting in here, as you all get it.
I want to soooo be happy, again it appears this LO knows what great timing is (must get it from
DH!) as I am yet again looking for work, and in general the timing sucks. We were being careful, and only DTD once (that I can recall) without protection, at 5 dats after AF. And we were both 'planning' a break emotionally. We have seen a FS, who basically said I would need to have had 3 losses to warrant $$ testing, or tests that he can cover.
Of course it is more than wanted, and already loved and longed for.
And it's only POAS official, have a Dr appt on wed, which will make AF AWOL for 7 days.
I think I'm 4w 5d.

I've had 2 periods since m/c in June. Have been trying to DTD on the right times, but am slowly loosing faith in my body to conceive by itself without help... I know I've been away from this thread most of the time as I feel that I've moved on. As always life goes on. I'm feeling good at the moment, have been extremely busy working, planning the wedding and our holiday, which is only days away. Even though I'll struggle when I'll meet my new niece for the first time, at the same time I'm really looking forward to meeting my nieces and nephews. (my brother has 4 kids - argh, can't they share :))
Even things I struggled with before, like this 48 year old drug & alcohol addict who is pregnant and due on my angel bub's original due date, I was really angry with her for falling pregnant again, baby nr 6 or 7?! I've calmed down, and know she can't help it...
Anyhow, enough about me.. I'm glad that for most of us AF has finally come and some of us even moved on to the next pregnancy! I can't wait to hear more announcements and I can't wait to announce our own little one, one day in the future!
