    Your cervix closes when you become pregnant, so to miscarry, yes, it needs to dilate. I had the stabbing pains, but I also had them during periods and sometimes in my cycle. Do you know if you have endometriosis? That can be a common symptom amongst women with endo. But I think stabbing pain is something a lot of women who m/c experience.
