Default My sisters due date, The poem I wrote for her....

    5th of May 2005

    ~

    Today is a special day,
It’s ok to shed a tear.
There is a place in your heart for me,
I know you hold so dear.

Why did I have to leave?
    Before this day had come.
They tell me that you’re special,
    You’re my special mum.

I wish I got to look at you,
    Gaze into those loving eyes.
I feel the love you have for me,
    Love that strong never dies.

    I come and visit often,
You know that I am here.
I get to feel your warmth,
When you hold my brother near.

I hope he gets to know me,
I love to run and play.
He will tell you stories about me,
And ask why I couldn’t stay.

    They talk about you fondly,
    All the angels up here.
    They say I’m really lucky,
That’s its you who holds me near.

    Today is a special day,
I love you, my mother dear.
Hold on to my big brother tightly,
So I can hold you near.

    ~

    Thinking of you xox

I just wanted to share that, I made my mum cry when I read it out to her.

Thank you so much, I don't write poems. This only the second one that I have felt the need to write down. My mum said that this is how some people receive "messages". I like to believe that I just wrote the words for someone who was unable but wanted to let her know she was being thought of. I am really proud of myself for writing it.

I printed it up on some nice paper and had it laminanted(sp?) and popped it in an express post bag so that she gets it tomorrow. I hope it doesn't upset her too much. I'm just waiting for the phone call...........

Some of you may remember, my sister use to post on here as LoveBourbon, but after loosing Serenity in November I haven't noticed her back on the forums. Many of you gave her some wonderful advice and support in the time leading up to her misscarriage, and then also when she lost him. I think she hasn't been able to return tot he forums as this was the main thing she posted about, I think it still hurts too much and Belly Belly is to much of a reminder for her. But it was her that put me on to this site and me that put Kerrie (Fire Fly) on to here as well. So while she may not have returned we have. Maybe one day she will venture back when she is ready.

Fiona that was a lovely poem. For someone who doesn't write them your sure good at it. Your sister is very lucky and I'm sure she will be touched by your poem.

Well done matey, she will be sobbing for a while but be very appreciative that you care.

Mothers Days is going to be especially sad for her. Still cant imagine what she went through. She's lucky to have a very caring and supportive sister like you.

Well the poem went down nicely with my sister, she said it made her cry but that was ok as it was very special and is very thankful that I sent it to her. So I am happy.
