It pains me beyond words that I am writing this in here.

Our beautiful little angel Nikita sadly passed away on Monday 2nd June.

It was brought to our attention on Sunday that our darling daughter had developed an infection in her bowels. In extremely prem babies this is almost always fatal.
Her poor little body became septic and she slipped away from us very very quickly.
Chris and I didn't have to watch our precious precious baby girl suffer. We were able to hold her, bath her and dress her, a bitter sweet thing to do knowing these firsts were also our lasts.

We want to assure everyone that her passing was incredibly fast and pain free.

We are of course absolutely devastated, but in some respects very greatful to have been given a whole week with her to get to know her and her personality. We have so many fond memories of her and love her so very much.

Nikita touched the lives of so many people, its amazing how someone so small and with us for such a short amount of time could have such a huge impact on the lives of those who knew her.

My gorgeous little girl, you will be missed so very much, mummy and daddy love you so much.

I am so sorry that you didn't get more time with your beautiful girl, but so thankful you got that precious week.

I don't know what to say - it must be such a terrible time for you. I can imagine though that being able to hold her and cuddle and kiss her would give you some peace before you said goodbye. I'm sure you cherished every moment with your beautiful girl and she'll always be remembered. I'm thinking of you.

I know that nothing any of us can say will take away your pain but we are all thinking of you at this sad time

I too will light a candle for your little angel Nikita. I am glad though that you were able to spend some time with your precious girl. May she shine over you forever.

Oh Nae Nae I am so sorry...

I can hardly type I am crying so much. As soon as I type this I will go and light a candle for your beautiful daughter Nikita.

The pain you are feeling I know is unimaginable - have you been in touch with Sids kids or any other support my love? We are all here for you. I only wish I could give you a hug and cry with you... Sending my love and prayers...
