There is so much going on in our community lately, I am beginning to worry about those of you who are going through a loss and don't want to inconvenient others, or simply feel that what they are going through is nothing in comparison.
Losing a baby is not something to be swept under the rug.
A miscarriage does hurt. Mentally. Physically.
Your problems are real.
Your feelings are totally just.
Please talk about it to those closest to you. Please talk about it with us. Bottling up your emotions will get you nowhere. You need to talk, and we are here for you
Beautifully said. There is nothing insignificant. If it is important to you then it is important. My *stuff* is no more important than your *stuff*. And we are here to love and support you. No matter what
Just wondering if you meant my thread? If so, I'm still in shock over the flood, I can't even think straight at the moment O.o. It's really overwhelming at the moment, and yes I don't want to talk because others have it so so so much worse. That really is how I feel though, in shock, and feeling (comparatively) like I have no real basis to claim grief.
Maruschke - I'm sorry but I haven't read your post But i have been seeing and hearing others saying how their complaints / issues are irrelevant both here and on FB etc. After my husband died there were many people who felt like they couldn't / shouldn't complain about their own stuff because in comparison to what I was going through it was trivial. But it wasn't trivial to them. It was their life and in their life it was important. The chaos around you does not decrease the experience you are having (the royal you - not you personally!!)
It is important that people be reminded that no matter what chaos surrounds you, your worries, concerns and issues ARE important and worthy of support and love and discussion.
And now I am off to stalk your thread ...................
Marushke - I haven't read your thread but wanted to let you know that a loss is a loss is a loss. I've lost both my parents (14 years apart) and one early pregnancy. None of those losses was 'easier' than the others to bear. None was bigger or worse than any other. They were each different and each was coloured by my previous experiences and my reality. Grief can't be claimed, only felt. You have every right to feel whatever it is that you feel, no matter what everyone else is going through. The ladies on BB were invaluable to me in coming to terms with the loss of my angel baby and getting through pregnancy after loss. I'd hate to think that anyone that needed that support felt they couldn't ask it from the BB community.
Maruschke, there are a few women who inspired me to begin this thread, and yes, you were one of them.
Yes there is a lot of devestation going on in our beautiful country/community at the moment, but that does not make your issues any less significant. You may feel that you have "no real basis to claim grief", but you do. If you feel uncomfortable talking to people IRL, just always know that we are here for you. Many of us have been through the hurt of lossing a baby and understand how much hurt it causes...
We are here, and we are listening

Lovely thread, it is so very important to talk and I can understand when there is so much pain and loss going on that it may be harder but please if you are hurting come and talk here, we are here for you. For me when I'm feeling down or upset I always feel for my Emmanuel, now over time he brings me so much comfort and strength but there are also times when I just want him back to hold one last time.
Regards,
Dianne
