You may bleed, maybe not. I get very paranoid too and did not relax until I did repeated home tests.
BBs still sore - good sign!
hi - i'm 7 weeks pregnant for the first time (and quite neurotic)
i dont have much morning sickness, just tender bb - how would I know if I had a miscarriage? would I bleed ? If I am feeling fine and my bb stay sore, can I assume that everyone is ok?
thank you!

Congratulations on your pregnancy pindle. I hope it is a great journey for you.
I had 2 m/c's and i didn't really have many warning signs until i started bleeding. The first time was painless, no warning, just like AF, second time was painful, painful cramps. My last pregnancy was however successful. I had cramping and pain early in my preg, i thought i was going to m/c again. But i soon discovered as everything down there grows and moves you get niggles and pain. My bb's were sore for the first couple of weeks, then not really after that. But everyone is different.
I know it is hard, but he best thing you can do for you and your tiny bub, is relax, think happy positive thoughts and try not to stress too much!

Hi pindle. I miscarried at 6 weeks and the first signs for me was light bleeding which got worse followed by serious cramping. Like period paid but 10 times worse!!
Try not to worry too much and enjoy it.
Hi Pindle, I've never been there (touch wood) but I would think that majority of the time you would have some bleeding. Try to relax, I'm sure everything will be fine.
hi pindle, I really dont want to unnesasarily worry you, but I was (well thought I was) 9 wks, sore boobs, morning sickness, niggly pains etc, then went for the first ultrasound where I was told that my baby hadnt progressed past 4-5 wks, I had no pain, no symptoms, no bleeding whatsoever.
If you are at all worried plaese ask for a scan, tell them you dont know your dates or something, just to see that heartbeat.
I sincerely hope that you and bub are and will be fine.
best of luck!!

Hi Pindle,
I had an ectopic pregnancy and was diagnosed at 8 weeks but I have to be honest in saying that I always felt something wasn't right. I even had a beautiful journal to write in and wouldn't start it for some reason. So my advice to you is that if you are feeling ok then really try to enjoy the blessing of being pregnant. But if you don't feel things are right then listen to your body- that is the best lesson I learnt after my ordeal. I am sure eveything will be fabulous for you. I think everyone worries but we probably need to learn to relax and trust that our bodies will take care of things for us.
Looking forward to hearing everything is perfect when you have your scan,
Bel
Hi Pindle,
I've had an ectopic and two m/cs, and the miscarriages (at 11 & 12 weeks) were both preceded by bleeding and pain, which progressively worsened as the pregnancy progressed. My HPG levels were not increasing sufficiently either, and the u/s were showing insufficient progress. With the ectopic I was not aware that I was pregnant until I presented at hospital in extreme pain, and found out I was 8 weeks pregnant and that it was ectopic. I had bled and had period like symptoms when my previous period had been due so had no reason to think I was pregnant.
Lack of m/s is not a sign that the pregnancy is not going well - some women just don't have it! So even though it is hard not to worry, don't panic if you don't feel what everybody else does. If you haven't already got an early dating u/s booked, you might find that getting one helps to put your mind at rest!
Wishing you a H&H pregnancy!
thank you for putting my mind at rest. i think i will ask for an early dating u/s when i see the obs next week. i just keep telling myself that if it is going to happen there is nothing i can do about it (ok, i'm a tiny bit of a control freak!) so i just need to relax. thanks again and i'm sorry some of you have had such bad luck - apparently m/c are very common but no one ever hears about it because the pregancy isn't announced until after 12 weeks!
I hardly had any early signs with this pregnancy except sore BBs which went at around 6 weeks. I'm 17 weeks pregnant now and have suffered no morning sickness at all. My only early signs (and I still have them) were bleeding gums and a stuffy nose).
All my m/c's have started with spotting followed by light bleeding for two or three days with no pain at all.
Try to stop stressing all will be fine.
HI Pindle,
Congrats on your pregnancy, unfortunately there are no real early signs that something is not right. For me, my body went on to develop until I was 9 weeks when my body started the cleansing process (M/C) my little hubba bubba hadn't developed past 4 weeks.
I guess if you see any blood (even just a smidge) go to see the Dr or chat about it at your next appointment and let then know your concerns. An early u/s can certainly help to ease some anxiety and is amazing when you see that little bitty heart beat going a million miles an hour.
Hello, Congrats on your pregnancy
Its hard to answer that question really as it can happen a few different ways. Sometimes many women dont find out until they have a scan, and thats classed as a missed miscarriage, some women have a little bit of light spotting, just when they wipe, then maybe have a scan and find out they have lost the baby but its not expelling itself naturally and they end up having a D and C to remove the pregnancy sac etc, and then some women(such as myself) will start having spotting, that gradually gets heavier and then eventually miscarry fully themselves passing big clots and lost of thick dark blood, which is what happened to me. I had no cramping what so ever until the morning I woke up and had the m/c, then that day I cramped and bled bad, then it eased up over the next few days.
I wouldnt worry yourself too much about m/c, by the sounds of it you are doing just fineI know m/c is always on a pregnant womens mind, but its not good for you to worry about it too much, try and relax and enjoy being pregnant
BUT if you do see any blood(pink, red, or brown), brown discharge or anything not normal then see your midwife or doctor and get it checked out, I had more bleeding with this one at 6 weeks, but a scan showed that everything was fine
Its good to have some piece of mind and see that heart beating away

thanks sheena - i did just thati went and got a scan at 8 weeks because i saw some light pinkish discharge and saw the little heartbeat. i've had a bit more bleeding since, but i'm not so worried anymore. i'm just counting the days till my 12 week scan so i know i am in the all-clear. (if it was up to me, i'd get a scan every week!)
Hi. I Am Just Over 5 Week Pregnant And Last Night I Started Bleeding. I Went To The Hospital And They Did A Blood Test To Check Some Levels And Told Me To Get Another One In 2 Days To Compare Results To See If The Level Is Dropping. The Wait Is Killing Me And Need To Know. The Bleeding Was A Fair Bit With Small Clots. It Lasted A About An Hour Then I Just Got Some Dry Brown Blood. Does Anyone Have Any Sort Of Information That Might Get Me Through The Next 2 Days? Im Going Crazy Here
