Unhappy Now I need your help, bleeding.....

As I just posted, my cervix has been high and closed... its now lowish, shorter, mushy, and i am bleeding a lot..... I am booked in for 7.30, to go in at 9.30 am, and they are making me stay overnight after the d & c which I really dont wanna do...

I have read a loss story on here, who birthed her 13 wk stillborn at home, and then went to hossy, and it sounds like something i would prefer to do.....I want to stay here, with my family, and not leave H who is still b'fed....

Is it ok to just stay here?? I might go all night yet, and still go up at 7.30 anyway, but if things progress quickly, could I stay home in my shower, get to hold my little one, and go to hossy later???

Man I hate this SO SO much.....

Bleeding is normal during m/c, no doubt there will be a bit more too. I think I lost about 500mls when I birthed Banjo (which slowed after the birth). Make sure you have someone with you to help you, you will need things and you won't be able to get them yourself. Is your partner comfortable with your birthing now? Or would he be more comfortable with another pair of hand to help?

Stay home where you are comfortable unless you need to go to hospital.

    xx

Ad and I are both happy to be here alone..... we have the two big boys, watching tele in the back lounge, and H in bed. DD and the 2 little boys are at a sleepover and ma and pas house......I would much prefer it just us....

Ad would like me to call an ambo as soon as bub passes, and app I should birth/pass clots over a bucket etc to monitor things? Ad would like the ambo on the way, so they can take me to hossy, and look after me should there be excess bleeding...... so the 'safer" way for him to handle things.... poor Ad....... he is so so soft, and its killing him....

the bleeding has slowed, but my cervix is very very short now..... (using gloved fingers)

It's very much your choice darling. I have laboured but with a bigger baby and was induced and it took more than 12 hours for one of those...

If it were me, I would just work with things at home. Because your little one passed some time ago - oh darling I don't want to sound gory but things won't be intact. Your body will know what to do - it's important that you try and keep what you pass, that if you bleed what seems to you an excessive amount that you contact your hospital.

You are free to pm me or keep posting & I will be sure to watch this thread for you.

Wishing you an easy labour as you birth your baby.

Oh darl, wish I could be there for you. When I m/c at 13wks I was in hospital and I don't want to scare you but I haemoraged, would just hate for something like that to happen to you. I can totally understand you wanting to be at home. I honestly don't know what to say just sending you big .

    Regards,

I think if you feel better staying at home then do it, but just be watchful of how you're feeling physically and go to hospy if you're not feeling like you think you should. If you do stay home, be very careful of haemmorraging. I also hammoerged with my first angel (@ 19wks) whilst at home. Big hugs hun.

I wish I had have seen this sooner.

I had a miscarriage at 14.5 weeks, bub was around 11 weeks.

Hospital told me to go home, I could do it myself

It was horrific - and the afterpains were on par with labour pains. A D&C will take away the extended pain and bleeding - plus you won't run the risk of hemorrhage

In the end you need to do what you are comfortable with, it could be that you choose to do it naturally in the hospital so you have a chance to grieve etc - but then be in a place where they can get to you if you have a heavy bleed or something goes wrong.

    I am so sorry sweetheart

ETA - I just read your update. Good luck this morning, you and your beautiful family and angel baby are in my thoughts and prayers xxx

Oh PB I am heartbroken for you and cannot imagine the pain you are going through right now I am so sorry your baby could not stay.

I was in this thread last night when we had a blackout but I want you to know that I went to bed thinking of you, Adam and your baby and woke up thinking of you this morning.

Sending you lots of love and strength.
