My cousin lost a baby late last year, and now I don't know if she'd lost some before (she didn't say and I'd like to think she'd have felt comfortable enough to tell me that sort of thing), but she had tests to find out why she lost that one, and was satisfied with the answer (a virus going round her DS's creche at the time affected the foetus). I suspect that she got her tests because she's a researcher in the medical field and exerted some 'pull' with her PhD tag, if there's supposed to be some sort of 'qualifying' criteria for these tests. And if that's the case, then that stinks (good for her, unfair for everyone else).
I have had one mc (in October) and my ob (private) did all the mc tests on me and the foetus even though it was my first and I have had a successful pregnancy. Turns out I might be coeliac ( gluten intolerant) which has strong links to mc and may have been triggered by my previous pregnancy/birth. I hope you can get some answers and don't have to go through this heartbreak again.
Thank everyone, its odd, if I hadn't retested at the beginning of the week I would never had know I was UTD. The oddest part about it the last time I was miscarrying was when Vic had those horrid bushfires ..... this time there are floods ..... I just hope after yesterdays major outburst, DH wants to get cracking again straight away, hopefully we will have the same luck of conceiving straight away like we did when we fell in with DD.
