can you try a different brand of nappy? huggies or aldi newborns?
the answer to this might be really simple but I'm a newbie and can't ask mum becos she only used cloth 25yrs ago.
I am using baby Love disposables and up until recently they've been fine. Except last few days I'm having more and more problems with baby having a damp back and when I check nappy he has like a 'plumbers crack' because his nappy has fallen down at the back. This results in poo pooling at the back and I guess leaking out which causes the wet back (and lots of outfit changes and extra washing!).
What am I doing wrong here?? I'm putting them on as tight as possible, making sure it's as high as goes at the back, but when he's kicking hard to get his farts and poos out he seems to somehow pull the back down
He's 5 weeks, weighs approx 3.8kg? Not a very chubby baby

you could try a cover over the top.
are the nappies getting too full? he might be a heavy wetter.
My girl is quite a heavy wetter too and i notice the Baby Love nappies become pretty bunched up if i leave it too long between changes and they're pretty full. Maybe try changing him a little more frequently and see if that helps??
Isnt it awful when the poo comes out the back!!
I've been using Pampers from Coles, my bubs is 4kg and they fit really well. They are expensive but worthwhile.
What size is he in?
My kids went up a size well before the end of the weight range (in sposies and MCNs) because they had long bodies mostly.
Could be a faulty batch too.
Woolies/Safeway homebrand and select nappies were ok with my boys, as were comfy bots.
I can also second that pampers are great. They look thin but are pretty absorbent though I did had ds2 fill one to bursting but he did that with all the brands for a while there.
Went up a size and he's fine. He is only 4.2kg but he's long
