Our council website actually says its fine. But you know what it says you SHOULDN'T do empty your vacuum cleaner directly into the bin, it says you should bag it first. I wonder how many people do that too? Maybe its different council to council or state to state. Otherwise surely they would say the same for cat litter/dog waste, and sanitary products.

i never knew it was illegal.
as at the nursing homes i have worked in we just thrown the used adult diapers into the regular bin not contaminated waste.
as it is classed and everyday human excreetion.
only excessive bklood or contaminate bodily fluid needs to be incinerated.
i dont flush the poo down the loo.
to me human blood is just as bad as poo, if not worse. all bad organisms and contractable diseases are transmitted through both blood and poo and wee and any human excreation actually so i dont see why "poo" is singled out.
it is still ok to thrown your sanitary pad away or tampon but not your childs poo

Yeh i have wondered about this too. Some councils have special doggy bins for dog poo. They provide plastic bags for you to put the dog poo in and then place it in their bins. What do they do with it? im sure it goes straight to the dumps because who would take the poo out of the plastic bags and compost them.
