Which night nappy?

So, which night nappy do you reccommend, and which covers? Fred is turning into a serious wetter at night and the BBH and woollen cover is starting to leak on a regular basis.

Should I look into soakers and longies? or fleece covers? or is there something that works for you?

Which fitted night nappies have great absorbancy without too much bulk? I don't mind too much bulk as the mattress is tilted but I don't want her to be too bottom heavy.

Are there any AIO or AI2 night nappies that you would reccommend?

Any and every suggestions, comments, ideas, reccommendations, hints, tips will be gratefully accepted

Have you tried fleece covers? They are all I use overnight & I've never had a leak.

If you have a heavy wetter then I would suggest a wool cover rather than fleece. Do you knit at all? I've made my own that work very well - there are some easy patterns online, you dont really need to know much (I am an amatuer).

I have 3 night nappies
Sandman - ok for young baby/light wetter. no good for heavy wetter
Wildchild - Mine's a plus-size. It's great - usually still half dry in morning even with a heavy wetter. But very bulky and does take a while to dry
Maz night nappy - my favourite. Extremely absorbent, maybe a little less than the WC, but very fast drying.

I'm more than happy to sew but I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and sewing hurts after a while so I can imagine that knitting would kill me. I just saw Maz has some new night nappies, I might have to stalk her to get one. I also want to try one of her fleece covers but budget is a bit tight at the moment

I just got a GNST to try out and that lasted the night I think but DH changed her in the morning and I didn't get a chance to see how it went.

awww, just found this thread and too late for the Maz night nappies. Away visiting family so can't haunt the net because catching up with my 3 million relatives. Looking for a night nappy because have been dealing with an inconsolable infant for the last few days due to a reaction to a well known brand's new design. Had mega painful blisters on her bits and really red and hot! I was in tears on several occasions from her being in so much pain as she would not let me near it at all and howled if I even put a new nappy with super soft liner on her. I use cloth of a day and that cleared it up. Definately going cloth night nappy now! so glad I found a stash of old stock (nappy that she reacts to but old design that is okay on her) I misplaced when unpacking (visiting family for another month). My little one is not the first I have experienced having a reaction to these "new design" nappies. Was talking to a lady that also had an inconsolable child in a parent's room at a shopping centre, same issue, same brand, same time frame. sorry will quit venting!

Anyone suggest "Mandy Mac Purple nights"? they look really good in the design. Any feedback appreciated! Oh and if I do manage to get one are you going to have another (non-xmas) restock Maz? Your stuff gets snapped up fast!
