Peeee peeee oh soooo much peeee, tummy sleeper!!! Help :)

DD is 18 months and a very heavy wetter. At night we have been using a dippy, I have spoken about buying cloth nappies for night, but haven't gotten around to it.

Overnight she will pee over 500ml, up to 700ml and a *H* just doesn't hold it when she sleeps on her tummy She end up soaking her clothes and the sheets and I really don't have the time to be washing and changing sheets every morning.

The other night I place a home made booster in her dippy, but idiot me forgot to put a fleece liner over the top and she got nappy rash.. grrrrr. But this did solve my problem and she didn't soak through.

But what materials are the best against the skin for overnight that won't cause her nappy rash, taking the wetness away?

We have gone up to the next size dippy already so no need suggesting to go up a nappy.

She had problems with her itti's if they aren't changed regularly enough at Daycare, so I know that the top on those won't be suitable, and I don't want to go out and buy a night nappy and spend good $ on it to find out we get problems. So I thought I could just try different liners to start will and see how we go

    TIA xxoo

DS used to be a side sleeper and would wet through at night. I ended up cutting up a terry nappy and using that as a booster in the spot where he wet through. I would also usually put a BBH cover over the top, JIC. We've now gone to full time cloth and I just use one of my Happy Heinys at night with an extra insert. Makes the nappy very bulky, but who cares at night

My sis has always been full time disposable and she has recently borrowed my BBH covers to use over the sposie at night for her DS (who is 20 months). He is a back sleeper, but was also wetting through a huggies almost every night. This solution seems to work well for her, so long as they make sure none of the nappy is showing out the top of the cover.

I used to use a BBB with a fleece topped hemp booster inside (couldn't find a bamboo one) and a bamboo booster in between the nappy and cover (wool) for my heavy wetting tummy sleeper when she was still in nappies. Never had any problems with nappy rash or wetness with the fleece against her skin She did have a very big butt though LOL

Good luck, I know how hard it can be to find something that works for a tummy sleeper.

Thankyou so muich girls for passing on some really useful information... so I guess this means I should probably fuel my nappy addiction further and look into a BBH, I don't mind about bulkiness I love it she she has a "J-Lo" bum!!

LOL Beema at your nappy addiction! I was shocking first time around too but have managed to restrain myself this time!

Anyway if you buy Baby Beehinds, just make sure you get bamboo not hemp. The hemp never cut the mustard at night for us, it is a great nappy but was only good for a wee or 2 by day
