Snugglers Vs Huggies?

How do Snugglers compare with Huggies?
I've always used Huggies as I don't change DS over night & huggies rarely leak.
I tried Baby Love once when my sister got them for me & they were leaking every 2 - 3 hours.
When I did my shopping the other day Snugglers were on sale at $9 for a bulk pack, so I bought them. Even though I didn't need nappies yet.
Should I go see if they are still on sale & stock up, or are they not that great?

i found them to leak alot with my son.....ive always used huggies and never had a problem with them....but hey u never know

I haven't opened them yet, & I don't think I ever used them before either. I always used VIPs. They are made by the same people as Huggies, but cheaper.
I can't get them here though.

I have just started using Snugglers and I don't change DD at night. I haven't got a problem with them and think they are as good as Huggies. I've also used Woolworths Select nappies and found them also to be very similar to Huggies and fine for wearing all night. At the moment, they are the only 3 brands I will use.

Everyone I talk to with girls have no problems with Snugglers, but boys tend to leak in them.

We got given a box of snugglers and I found they leaked almost every time. We used them on Claire when she was about 4-5 months old. We now use MCN, but for daycare I send Coles nappies (as they prefer disposables) and she hasnt had any leaking with those.

ok i bought some over the weekend as they were on special and i am normally a huggies user. My DD2 never normally leaks through but since sat we have 3 times. I wont be buying them again. JMO but i think they are cr@p but i have friends who swear by them.

Yeah, I have a friend who used them for her DD. She loved them.

Snugglers are the only brand apart from huggies that don't give DD nappy rash! You do have to change a bit more frequently than you would with huggies, but I think they're quite good for the price!

We found when DD was newborn/infant that they seemed to leak so we stuck with huggies.

When I moved to Townsville as a single mum I was keen to try the cheaper brands. DD was 12 months old by that time & they worked fine, even through the night. (maybe once or twice had a leak through the night?)

When I moved back here with DH she went back into huggies. We've got some huggies for the new baby but will also be trying MCN's this time round.

I think it just depends on the child, trial & error.

I have found that huggies tend to leak more so I just use the aldi ones, they have never leaked *touch wood* maybe there could be something to them leaking more on boys, I dont know as I only have had experience with boys.

I just bought some Snugglers too (they sucked everybody in with that special didn't they ). They don't give ds nappy rash- the Woolies Select, Coles, BabyLove all do. But they did leak, and we had one unfortunate poo incident with them too I think the only real difference is they don't have the elastic bit across the back. But that little piece of elastic seems to make a huge difference to there effectiveness.
I have a couple of friends who swear by Aldi but I haven't tried them yet. I think I'm going to stick with Huggies- cheaper to just buy them than waste money on packets of different brands that I can't use and have to buy Huggies anyway!

I've tried lots of nappies and still find Huggies the best for DS. I trust them absolutely and have never had a leakage. If ever I know I'm going to be out and about for a while and changing a nappy is going to be a headache, I would use Huggies.

Had lots of leakages with Snugglers, Aldi and BabyLove. Woolworths Select I found to be excellent, nearly as good as Huggies.

My own theory is that it depends on a baby's bodyshape. I know some mums with babies that have quite round tummies that love BabyLove. There was another post about nappies a while ago and some people complained the Huggies fit was too snug. DS is very tall and slim with long skinny legs and always has been that way.

Sarah H- I had same issues My DS would leak in every nappy but huggies... now he's older i use baby love for nights but found them crap for when he was younger.

With DD i heard that all nappies were good... I brought baby love to try and every time she pooped and wee'd after she'd leak as they dont hold anything in. I went back to huggies and a friend told me to try snugglers as they are bigger then the huggies newborn. I'm using them at the mom and we have leaks every night. i just brought another pack of huggies... The snugglers are ok for day time but my DD sleeps all night usually anywhere from 6-9 + hours and the only nappies that hold everything in is huggies... I have decided to use the cheaper ones during the day as i change very frequently but for night time HUGGIES all the way!!!!

we found they were fine for daytime use but size runs a lot smaller than huggies for night no way

but my sister only uses snugglers on her kids 3 boys I think she is using huggies on the little girl though

I found snugglers leaked for my boy and made my girls smell....

I now use anything but LOL
safeway select and cole own are great....

I would tell you that the Shop which I wont mention due to you not having one also sells great ones but that would just be teasing LOL

Oh ive just seen this post!!

IL's bought us our first box of snugglers the other week. Up until now we've used Babylove or Huggies.. both great.. Huggies hands down though.. but are a little more expensive.
Anyways.. that is the first and LAST time i use snugglers nappies!!!!! They just continue to leak (not even at night.. during the day which no other nappy leaks on DS during the day) and not even that.. 1 out of 3 of the snugglers nappies tabs are ripping off when i do them up on DS! Ive thrown out at least 12 nappies so far because of the tabs coming off and we're not even half way through a box! Huggies ive never had that problem with.

So out of choice, if $$ isnt an issue, id buy Huggies without question.. otherwise ive found Babylove great. (they just dont hold as much wee over as Huggies - which with DS overnight nappies we need the huggies as he wees like a fire hidron!)
