DD uses Huggies Junior nappies at the moment - 16kgs and over. Shes only about 10kgs, 11 tops. Shes always been under the weight recommendation for their nappies cause shes long.
We only recently starting using those because she out grew the smaller size.
But now these dont fit.. and they're the biggest size!? They leak alot around leg and it dribbles down to her knee! And you can see her little bum sticking out the sides of the nappy, leg hole. The nappy is barely holding much of her wee, cause it all seems to be going down her leg!
I dont know what to do, cause we've tried pulling it tighter, higher, lower etc, but they just dont seem to fit.
We're going to go over to MCN after the wedding - cause all spare money is going there at the moment. We don't have the money for them at this point, but its definately on our list of things to do.
Does anyone know whats causing this? Or what I can do about this?
Shes still a bit little for TT too, Shes done a wee in the toilet, but It was coincedental and she wasnt sure what had happened.
Poor DD
Julia is 14kgs and those ones dont fit her either. However if you buy the Woolies select brand they are bigger, maybe try those? I find them softer on the girls too. Or you could move to the Nappy Pants? they are quite big and generous for long children like you mentioned. The Pull up variety is much better than the huggies nappy pants. They come in 3 different sizes, Julia fits into the 2nd size or the 3rd size (17kg +) but they are large on her. Hope this helps.
Is is because they are too big and gaping?
Are there any other brands that you can try?
I use Aldi nappies overnight and they are great.
I have also tried the you'll love coles brand and found them to be awful
The Safeway/woolies homebrand ones are quite good value for money.
HTH
It actually sounds like they are too big, maybe try a couple of sizes smaller to get rid of the leg gape (watch for plumber's crack though), or try a different brand. When you do make the switch to MCN, find someone that has a decent stash for you to work out what suits DD or buy lots of different brands second hand and then buy new of what suits.
Oh how annoying. I am a full time cloth user so not of much help but I was thinking maybe trying pull ups? I am not sure if they are more expensive though.
The poor little thing having wee running down her leg hope you figure something out.
They arn't gaping, they're a bit tight. I should have mentioned, shes got nice chubby thighs. The next size was giving her the plumbers crack.
They had been fine for a month, its only the last few days.
I might try the woolies brand - we don't have an Aldi here.
The huggies pull ups had the same problem with little rolls of bum sticking out. Red indents left as well.
Ill give the other brand a try too
Thanks. ♥
Alioops - everyone I know uses disposables. Ive never even see a MCN that wasnt a photo.
