I really am at a loss, I dont know what to do about TT.

DS just turned 3 this month. He knows how to use the toilet, how to hold his wees, how to get to the toilet on time. However he deperately wants to stay in nappies He doesn't do poo in the toilet, he will sit there for ages, several times and do nothing, then cry with a sore tummy and ask for a nappy. So I give him a nappy to go in then clean him up and put undies on again.

When in undies he rarely has accidents, but getting the undies on him in the morning is hell! He screams and carries on, begging for a nappy instead of undies.

This arvo, he fell asleep in the car and wet himself. He was so frustrated at himself for wetting himself and the car seat that he screamed for 20 mins,no amount of telling him it was ok would calm him down. In the end i put a nappy on him and he settled.

He really isn't bothered when he has wee in his pants, he will stay in them for hours.

What do i do??

Keep on battling him each morning and forcing him to wear undies and use the toilet, in the hope that he eventually gives in and stops begging for nappies, or leave him n nappies and hope like heck that he eventually decides that he doesnt need nappies any more.

Plus there is the whole pressure of every one making rude negative upsetting comments to DS and me about him still being in nappies and still having dummies
