I'm sure this can't just be me and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problemm with huggies nappies since they have changed the design (yet again) I'm sure they have changed the "recipe" so to speak.
I bought a new box of huggies girl nappies last week and noticed when I opened them that they've changed the pictures on the actual nappies and the box, still Winnie the Pooh but just different pictures. Anyway I've also come to find that they're absolute CRAP!! I've had to wash the girls sheets everyday since putting them in the new nappies cos the wee hs leaked straight through and not even huge wee's either, just the same as before. Also DD 2 has come out with terrible nappy rash that looks really painful.
I tried to ring Huggies this afternoon but "no one is available to take my call" (how convienient) as they are all on a "training day, learning how to serve me better" (answering the phone would be a start). I'm so angry I could spit, nothing annoys me more than not having a phone call answered and why on earth did they have to stuff about with them in the first place? probably money saving I know while they continue to charge the earth for them.
So, am I on my own or has anyone else noticed a diference? then I can add fuel to my fire when I finally do get through to them. And has anyone else got an ideas of alternatives nappies for the long night sleep? before someone suggests cloth I have been a clothie for 4 years and now that we're all but toilet trained and only on a night nappy each practically I can't be bothered with cloth, I just want the lazy way out for a while till bubba number 3.
Have you got an Aldi near you? I know there's a few people on here and I have family who can't recommend them highly enough.
One of the ladies from mums group: her hubby is a sales consultant for huggies or something and he told is that aldi nappies are the next best to huggies... (something about the testing they did) can you give them a go? ALternatively you could just use a cloth cover over the top of your disposables?

Now that you mention it, I have noticed DD has leaked through three times in the last week overnight!!! I might try the Aldi nappies, huggies are expensive and if they aren't working then it isn't good enough.
Definitley try the ALDI ones as cookiemonster suggested.
I have used them from the start and have not had any probs with them. I rarely have to change Flynn overnight and it is very rare that we have any leaks. They are super absorbent. No nappy rash probs for us either.
POOH to huggies!!
Hmmm, I use huggies at night but I haven't had to buy the new ones yet. The only time Charli wet through at night was when she needed to go up a size.
I have heard rave reviews about Aldi nappies and I have used them a few times (except the newborn size as they are a real funny shape - well the ones I bought were anyway) but all the other sizes are great. The Coles brand are also very good too.
I'm about to buy my newborn disposables (we are using cloth but only after the first 2 weeks)..... noticed Huggies Newborn boxes are on special at Woolies as of Monday.... should i avoid these now??
What should i get for newborn nappies?? Was about to buy Huggies as we've been told they're the best for newborns.....
We have ALDI but someone has just said ALDI newborn nappies are cr@p..... confused now..
Lol! Yep, near Dubbo, but North of Dubbo. Way too far just for nappies!
I just rang my mum after reading this & she's going to get me some when she goes to Coffs in a few days (she lives up the way).
So she'll either bring them down with her, or send them to me. Can't wait to try them.
Everything but Huggies leak on Jesse, but I think they are too far away here, so they stock up & I'll be buying the same stock for a while.

Schmickers, I've found the coles brand ones quite good too. Although they are better value whilst on special. I use snugglers for daytime and they are fine. The new pack says they are 20% more absorbant now too but I havent tried them for night time yet.
Personally given Huggies and Snugglers are both made by Kimberly Clark - would you trust one and not the other?
Ren, I think you'll be fine to use huggies on a newborn, yes the wee lots, but you change them frquently, unlike Kiki's bubs who would be sleeping overnight and weeing a lot more!
It must be the unwritten rule of nappy physics that ALDI nappies are the best, everyone i have spoken to even b4 i was PG says that they are the best, they say do ALDI nappies at day and huggies at night, shame huggies arent that good,i bought a massive box of snugglers at the big w sale(164 nappies or sumthin)for $28 that had an extra 20%absorbency only to be tltold by SIL they are crap...So yeh the ALDI ones for me too..
Aussie mums are keeping ALDI in business, also their cheap baby wipes are supposed to be better than the johnson ones and stuff,no rashes and are real good so have to try them..
Gotta love ALDI
