Question When Did Your LO Start?

DS has just turned 1, and for the last month he has been occasionally letting me know when he needs his nappy changed. He will pull a nappy out of the bag/tub and hand it to me, or the wipes. It doesn't happen all the time, but I think it is pretty clever of him.

I know they say that when they know they need to be changed is a sign that TT can be near, but at what age did you LO let you know they needed a change of nappy, and at what age did they toilet train?

    Thanks

I started sticking my DD on a potty from about 8 months. She seemed to prefer pooing especially in the potty and just seemed to hang on until we put her on. She has been day trained since 15 months when I realised her nappies were generally dry. We never pushed the issue and tbh I think if we waited til later it would have been a lot harder because she is now fairly willful. But now it is just part of normal life for her. Before she had the words we would just take her to the toilet often but now she generally tells us when she needs to go.
