DD1 became day and night dry the same day, we waited for 2 weeks to make sure she was ok at night then stopped using pull ups! shes wet the bed maybe 6 times in 12 months
Why throw the pullups out? Use again for the next night and then throw them out. If he is dry 99% of the time, then at bedtime, tell him that he won't have nappies on and make it a big deal, that he is a big boy now etc... and let him have a go at it. You wont know until you try it babes.
I actually do re-use the pull-ups a few times. I guess you're right, i just have to go for it. Tonight we will go pull-up free and see what happens!
Today he made me so proud. We were out for brunch for mothers day and mid bite he hops off his chair and says "I'll be right back I'm going to the potty" and he ran off towards the washrooms (stopping at a nearby table to announce his intentions to them as well LOL).
He is dry all day having the odd accident but he always wakes up wet in the mornings even though we take him to the toilet before putting his nappy on for bed!
Will keep an eye out on this thread for more tips and hints!
Glad he's doing so well! I stopped DS's nappies over night, as he was dry every night, but as soon as the weather started to cool off he had to go back in them again.
I might try again after winter, we'll see how we go.
