Having had a bub who had runny poo for a VERY long time, i am sooooo grateful for our Little Squirt. DH and i both agree it's the best baby product we bought - and without it, doing MCN would be much less do-able for us personally. Some people are fine with dealing with the poo other ways, good luck to them. But the Little Squirt is the answer for us.

Do take the time to read the instructions, it's not the kind of gadget to use without learning HOW TO first.

regarding the nappy rash creams.
there seems to be two types.

  • the ones that are petrochemically based, the barrier creams. Yes, these interfere with MCN, and if you use them, place a microfleece liner in the nappy first, so the liner catches the cream, NOT the nappy.
  • the ones that are NOT petrochemically based. Simmons Paw Paw Salve is one i can think of that fits this catergory. (But Lucas Paw Paw Salve IS petrochemically based).
