I don't think there is any tool that put on the plastic ones other then the press.
Its not as big a sit looks, I just put mine on the table with the sewing machine. It is probably just as tall as the sewing machine & maybe less then half as wide. But its heavy, very heavy.
Its well worth having one because you can snap more then nappies. You can put them on everything. You can also get a smaller die set to put the smaller snaps on clothes etc. I am going to get this the next time I order some more snaps. That way I can put them on the dresses I make Isla.
