Cold & Flu Remedy's whilst Breastfeeding

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I've managed to come down with a cold, I'm hoping it's just a head cold but my muscles joints etc are really aching. Anyone recommend something that's safe to take while breastfeeding to help me get a speedy recovery?

Warm honey and lemon tea is always good, great for a sore throat and refreshing. Don;t know if it will help get rid of the cold any faster though...

Ellee - there's a number you can call to check the safety of meds will bfing, but in truth there aren't many things that you really can't have when bfing (even when the packaging says you shouldn't).
I have a feeling though that maybe some cold & flu meds can affect supply.... not sure about that.
Probably rest is the best medicine anyway - hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks. I've been taking Lemsip with honey but that is only soothing on the throat. This being sick with a young baby business is hard! Much Much more respect for all you lovely ladies now

It's hard when you're sick and breastfeeding isn't it? I just take panadol. I've got the flu at the moment and so does DD so it's been a very difficult few days!!
