Can't give you any names etc but one of the first things a good naturopath will ask you to identify is your routines before bed and your sleep indicators, just like you do with your DD (your DH was spot on the mark with his suggestion by the way). They should ask questions like ….. Do you do things in a set order to train your body that it is bedtime? What is the last time you have a caffeinated drink during the day (ideally you shouldn't drink anything with caffeine in it 8 hours before you head to sleep).
Sleep works in about 90 min cycles, if you miss the point in the cycle that your body will naturally go to sleep, then you usually have 90 mins to wait until the next cycle, which is why knowing your sleep indicators is important.
They should look at everything in your environment, from position of the bed, airflow in the room, your diet during the day, what you eat/drink before bed, then they should start looking at you, checking things within your body.
