Question who do I see for Hormone Imbalance ??

OK i suspect i have a hormonal imbalance , i want to get it sorted out , but i have no idea who to see about it , I have a feeling if i go to a GP and say " i have a horemone imbalance , please test me for it " that i would get laughed at and dismissed .

SO how does on test for such things , ive see saliva tests on the net but im not too sure about them .

I would love to do this naturally , but have no idea what sort of practiotioner to see ...

anyone have an idea ?? or been in this situation ??

Charmalea - I've suffered hormone imbalances throughout my life and I have only had 1 gp willing to address the issues. He prescribed natural progesterone therapy. Then after having DD2 if felt those horrible symptoms coming back. I found a natural therapist who did an extensive questionnaire. From there she formulated a herbal tonic and a bunch of supplements. It took 3 months of taking these concoctions but they really worked. My advice is to seek a therapist who is a specialist in women's health.

I can pm you the name of the company I used if you like.

I have 2 options that you could explore. After some trial and error, I have located a sensational Naturopath who has identified hormone/body imbalances and has put me on vitamin/minerals and a tonic.
I also have a kinesiologist who I have seen over many years for many many things, including hormones, illness, mental stresses and worries.

So I would say absolutely try one, and if you're not happy, try another one until you find the one that feels right and can hear you!! I went through 2 Naturopaths before I found my current one!

I saw an endocrinologist for my PCOS. He was fantastic. An endocrinologist is a specialist specialising in hormones.
