Rori had her first big bath yesterday, I didnt get to speak to Danni but my mum said it was a real boost for her. They are slowly weaning Rori off the cpap but looking like she will come home on oxygen.
My little monster has gone home and boy is it quiet here now. I got so angry with Brett for stuffing the plans that Dannii myself and my mother made for when Brae was supposed to stay with us. He is a selfish son of a so'n'so and I give it 5 years and she'll probably leave him because of his ways. GRRRRR!!!!!!
Phoebe is doing really well. She has the whole chubby leg thing going on, it's so cute. Had her weighed not long ago and she is 6.7kg.
Better go madam is waking up. Will try and post again
We are back from our honeymoon.... Had a lovely time & great weather... but it was really nice to come home & see Lexy... only downside is that my pussy cat had to go to the vet when we were away & had to b put down (he got the cat flu)... we burried him yesterday in a spot that he cam watch us & the house... Lexy got to say by to him... (my GF took Tiger to the vet 4 me & took Lexy & told her he was sleeping)... but poor Lexy keeps going round the house looking for him
Lexy is a real chatterbox & hardly stops talking!!!!, she is totally obsessed with Handy Manny on tv... I have orgered her the soft toys from the states for Xmas...
She is totally into everything & knows what she wants & how to get it LOL...
We stopped giving her her dummy at night 3 weeks ago cause she was going to her room & getting it herself... little monkey... & apart from a couple of rough nights she is sleeping really well now & doesnt wake at night... but talks in her sleep lots LOL...
I am Louise and I gave birth to Sofia on the 29th October at 34+6 weeks. Her big sister Maria was premmie as well (34+4). She has had no complications which is great and is in Level 1 at RWH Randwick. She will be coming home on Saturday as they took the feeding tube out yesterday and she has had all sucking feeds since.
My name is sally and my little boy, Brendan, was born at 30 wks on 25/2/2007. he is now 8 1/2 months old and progressing well. He is behind in milestones, but he's healthy and happy! I have posted his story is birth stories for those interested.
Louise, Congratulations on the birth of Sofia! Glad to hear she is doing well.
Louise Congrats on Sofia and also on being able to bring her home. It' s the most wonderful feeling when it happens. My sis has just brought her little one home after 3 months in hospital and is over the moon. I'm meeting my neice on Saturday.
Sally- As long as they are happy and healthy that's all that matters hey! I had my DD @31 wks due to PE. I also have a DS who passed away at birth @21 weeks. I went into labour with him due to Chorioamnionitis and SIC. Im glad that Brendan is happy little chappy.
Sally- Sorry, I forget people don't speak "tiff" language lol Suspected incompetant cervix- they put a stitch in with my DD just incase. I've had part of my cervix removed from CINIII and they weren't sure if it was the chorio that made me go into labour or a weakened cervix that contributed to me getting the infection in the first place.
Oh i get it lol I'm a lil behind in thinking atm, too much going on!! I guess in one sense you know why you went into PTL, whether it was a weakend cervix or the chorio either on it's own would've done it. My waters broke at 28 weeks(no reason), and I got chorio during labour.
interesting Tiff i also had CINIII about 5 1/2yrs ago, i wonder if this contributed to Nixon coming early? Because of the CIN procedure it left scar tissue around my cervix and thats why i have had 2 x caesarians my cervix cannot dilate.
Hey Louise and welcome to the group! great bunch of mums in here and whoo hoo on Sophia coming home tomorrow thats just the best news! Let us know how it all goes.
Hi Sally and Brendanwelcome, Im off to read your birth story now i also had PPROM with my first DS @ 32+6 and delivered at 33+3. you did well to go for 2 weeks after PROM happened. Congratulations on your pregnancy! How are things travelling so far? when are you due? are you beeing looked after to try and avoid another pre-term birth.
Hi Nic,
Thanks for the welcome I am due on 27/4/08 Things are not so good atm. I have recently become a single mum and on top off that I have an infection. I go in on Mon for monitoring. We will see how things go!
Well Sofia is breaking out of NBC tomorrow, I have taken nearly all of her breastmilk supply out of the hospital freezer (all 3 litres of it) and tomorrow will pick up our little princess. She was weighed today and is 2kg.
Well Sofia has escaped from the hospital. DH only put the car seat in this morning (grr), we went to feed her at 10am and the doctor did the checkup then as well and then we came home. She is sooo small in the car seat (reversable), but the trip hme(all 5 minutes) went fine. She then had a sleep and is now having her first feed at home. I will take some more photos this afternoon.
awwww congratulations Louise on Sofia's home coming! I remember how small Nixon looked in te reversable car seat and his home weight was 2.65kg so she must look very little in it! Glad it went well and hope her first night at home went smooth.
Tiff- something called a loop procedure? i dunno the exact terminology but burnt the bad cells off abd i remember seing the thing they use that looked like a loop at the end of it??
Sally- oh thats not good news. really isnt what you need right now is it. I know its not the same but if it is any constillation i was severly depressed around this same gestation when we moved interstate and i was living with my MIL which was hell on earth. It wasnt a good thing but i some how got through it and i hope you can too. i hope the infection clears up and everything is alright.
Louise- I know what you mean about the carseat. We had ours put right to the smallest limit and it was still loose on her.
Nic- Sound like the same thing I had.
Sally- I hope everything goes smoothly for you xoxox
I met Aurora yesterday and I just couldnt get over how small she is. She is 3kg and I was in awe of her. We put Phoebe next to her and she looked like a giant (all 7.5kgs of her) and it was hard to believe she was that little too only 6 months ago.
