Thanks BAL, the only reason it's working for me at the moment is I'm not really dilating- only 1-2cm atm. ( Dr said as it is I'm on the highest 'safe' dose) And they said it doesn't work for some people anyway....
Maruschke - So glad to read your update! How's are you going? When do you go home?
Crispe - So glad you're still baking bubby.. I have had nefedipine, but only stat doses when I was in labour.. Not sure of the dosage.. Obviously, it didn't do much for me..

I got home about 1 pm yesterday. Over the moon.
Hey Maruschke, I hope things are going well at home with your girls.
Serenity- are still around? Hope things are ok.
Latest update from me
I was discharged from hospital on Monday and re-admitted yesterday (friday) because I my meds wore off 2 hrs early and I started having mild contractions about 5 mins apart again. Took my meds at the correct time (so tightenings/contractions for 2 hrs) and they didn't seem to do anything. So went to get checked, hooked up to CTG and contractions were 3 min apart and getting stronger. Doc does internal (by this time it's been 4hrs) and I wasn't dilating, again, much to the surprise of everyone including me. So doc orders an 2 extra doses of meds 30min apart (faster release than the one I'm n at home) and then meds every 3 hours. after the first 2 doses the contractions subsided to only a couple every hour with a few niggles in between. Then overnight they pretty much stopped. (only had normal BH)
Different doc comes in this morning telling me I'm not going to labour and deliver today (duh) and really I only have a 15% chance of going prem again anyway, so an 85% chance of going to term, and that should rest more, use a heat pack have warm bathes/showers and put my feet up. I so wanted to sock her one, as I tried all that before we went in to hospital. But I smiled. She gave me the choice of going home today or staying another night (just to rest). I chose to go home and rest![]()
I so wish my body would make up it's mind.
Oh positive of being in hospital this week- I was able to show off DS2 to some of the nurses who looked after me when he was born. They couldn't believe he had been nearly 7 weeks early!
Wow! Some doctors are knobs, LOL. At least that's what I think every time they tell me to rest. Keep baking that bubba!!! I hope the faster release meds do the trick.
Just saw BAL and baby button Jet on 'miracle babies foundation' Facebook page tonight.![]()

That's awesome Serenity!
Quick update- baby still baking, will be 37 weeks on Friday. On weekly appointments until delivered. Ob joked last appointment the way things are looking I might even go to 40+ weeks (egh). Have come off medication so will see how things go. Have had a few night where tightenings were keeping me awake but then they stopped.
Hope everyone is going well.
BAL- when I was in hospital a couple of weeks ago one mum I met on ward delivered her twin girls at 25 weeks. I was able to tell her of you and Jett and give a small bit of hope. Saw her a week later and her girls were still growing stronger and more stable everyday.
Just thought you'd like to know yours and Jett's story has made a difference.
